  We have never had such an hospitable and comfortable stay as we did inthis hotel. The owners were so helpful - nothing too much bother. Thebeds - unbelievable. Super comfort. - Excellent in every way - friendly proprietors, pleasant rooms, very goodbreakfast. No doubt the best place to stay in Clacton on Sea.

Nice little touches in the room such as the mini fridge and the mini basket of sweet and crisps which we didnt use on this occassion but it was nice to know it was there as an option.   Wanted a base for the weekend just for relaxation and nice food. Originally looked around local areas but then found this hidden beauty with a fishing pond - a hobby my partner hasn't done for years. The cottages are large enough with a huge bed and perfect bathroom with walk in shower.   It is as if time has stopped. Beautiful and of great historical value. I enjoyed every minute of my stay. Staff is very helpfull and they enjoy their job which is very important. Best hotel for the price. southend is a nice town for nightlife and clubs. Not so much during the days. Hotel is right next to the airport and the train station that takes u to and back from London.
