  The owners were both extremely helpful and friendly. We were contacted by phone a week before arrival to confirm that our requests for our Ruby Anniversary weekend had been met. Bar staff, waiters seemed part of a warm team enjoying their jobs. The pub/hotel is pet friendly. We had our medium sized, well-behaved dog in the bedroom, and in breakfast with us one day. The waiter helped with a bowl for leftovers/water. The hotel is in a great location overlooking the tidal Kent estuary. Good walks nearby, Leighton Moss RSPB reserve, regular train service to local stations north and south.

We didn't mind the fac... 别人怎么说 » t the fact there wasn't a bar as such or restaurant if you want that then don't book to stay, there is a pub down the road, due to the snow wee didn't - The lodge in the Vale was very clean and the staff including the gorgeous dog were very helpful and friendly, the fact they didn't have facilities to cook meals didn't bother us as they recommend the pub up the road where you get 10percent off your meal if you stay at the lodge! We loved the continental breakfast and its only ten min drive to keswick!
