  The owners were both extremely helpful and friendly. We were contacted by phone a week before arrival to confirm that our requests for our Ruby Anniversary weekend had been met. Bar staff, waiters seemed part of a warm team enjoying their jobs. The pub/hotel is pet friendly. We had our medium sized, well-behaved dog in the bedroom, and in breakfast with us one day. The waiter helped with a bowl for leftovers/water. The hotel is in a great location overlooking the tidal Kent estuary. Good walks nearby, Leighton Moss RSPB reserve, regular train service to local stations north and south.

  Very clean and recently refurbished. Staff veryt friendly and helpful. We stayed for 2 days and had our Dinner in the hotel on both days. (there is no where else to eat in the immdiate vicinity.   After reading some negative reviews about this hotel I was really not expecting much at all. How wrong I was. My two children (age 4 & 8) and I stayed for 1 night.
