  The owners were both extremely helpful and friendly. We were contacted by phone a week before arrival to confirm that our requests for our Ruby Anniversary weekend had been met. Our room was just as the owner described and had views to die for. The food was very good, speedily prepared and well presented. The hotel location is superb and is quiet, but only 5 minutes from main roads leading to Silverdale, the Lakes and t - Warm welcome from the staff and landlord. Bar staff, waiters seemed part of a warm team enjoying their jobs. The pub/hotel is pet friendly. We had our medium sized, well-behaved dog in the bedroom, and in breakfast with us one day. The waiter helped with a bowl for leftovers/water. The hotel is in a great location overlooking the tidal Kent estuary. Good walks nearby, Leighton Moss RSPB reserve, regular train service to local stations north and south.

  Very clean and recently refurbished. Staff veryt friendly and helpful. We stayed for 2 days and had our Dinner in the hotel on both days. (there is no where else to eat in the immdiate vicinity. So you need to book!) the meals were good quality and value for money around £10 for a main course and £5 for a starter. Breakfast was lovely and lots of ... wat mensen zeggen » coffee ect. We are often reluctant to try new places but this one was lovely very homely. Will recommend this one to anyone wanting a break without th - Lovely country inn with a very pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. The public areas have a local, historic feel e.g. the downstairs bar still has the old stalls from horse drawn days; charming. The staff are friendly and efficient, the bar has a great selection of local beers and ales and the food is superb. Our room, while small, was extremely well appointed and comfortable, excellent en suite facilities with a super powerful shower, bliss. My wife and I had a wonderful time and will definitely go a

  Check in was quick and we were shown our room and its features explained. Room was at back of hotel but spotlessly clean and comfortable. Decor was modern and my girlfriend impressed with Sanderson wallpaper, curtains etc. Water in shower was hot (a bath would have been nice to relax in after a days walk, but you can't have everything). Breakfast was again good with a plentiful choice of starters and mains. - we had a great time.The hotel owner was very knowledgeable of the area and advised some good places to visit.All staff very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.The accomadation and breakfast were fantastic coupled with a great location,5 mins walk to town and 5 min walk to waterhead.The hotel was spotless throughout.We had such a great time we booked our parents in for a short break for their anniversary.whilst there and we would definatley stay again.

  Very welcoming and child friendly. The kitchen had everything you could need and bedrooms were comfortable. Very useful to have parking just outside. - The apartment was very spacious and modern decoration inside. Very clean and tidy inside and very close to the town of Windermere

  The manager Tony was fantastic. He made us feel very welcome and was freindly.Natalier was also freindly and welcoming.The food that the head chief Sally prepared was excellent it was cooked fresh and served piping hot. The staff that served our breakfast was efficent and also freindly. The room was clean and had sufficent facilaties such as Tea/c... wat mensen zeggen » offee Etc. The bedding was clean and there was plenty of clean towels available in the room. Everyone made us feel so welcome as though we had been go - As a cycling group, several of us arrived late but they kept the kitchen open late to feed us which really was appreciated. Breakfast was fantastic and set us up well for our second day of cycling! Lovely place with friendly staff.

  10 minutes walk from bus station, not very far from the village center. It is pretty close to some good routes for walking, hiking and cycling. The staff there are very nice and very kind. The rooms including bedrooms bathrooms, kitchen, etc., are all very clean and comfortable. For me, as a solo traveller, it is a pretty good choice to stay t... wat mensen zeggen » here and enjoy a quiet time in the countryside. - Hosts friendly, excellent value, quiet (although that might be b/c we stayed during the middle of the week in the low season), resident chef prepared us an excellent meal at bargain prices; I enjoyed the resident cats but people should know about them in case of allergies.

  Extremely warm welcome and they let me park my motorcycle indoors so it was totally secure. Very friendly. Also (free) wireless in my room. There's another greta pub over the road from this one with a georgeous barmaid! Both highly recommended. - Excellent breakfast.   The staff were really friendly and helpful. The location was beautiful. The bar was cosy and the food good and big portions! The room was warm and comfortable. - I couldn't fault anything & the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The food they serve was excellent and I would definitely stay there again.

  After reading some negative reviews about this hotel I was really not expecting much at all. How wrong I was. My two children (age 4 & 8) and I stayed for 1 night. The staff were friendly,helpful and lovely with my children. The food was delicious. The offer of £20 for a four course meal and both children ate free meant we could dine in the h... wat mensen zeggen » otel. The pool was a little cool but still enjoyed to the full.We look forward to our next visit. - the staff members were awesome they looked after our requirements of the menu as my wife didn't want what was on the sweet menu, they said no problem. she asked what do you like and they made it happen. wow impressive the chief was out standing in the presentation and taste of all the food we had. we really recommend the food top class at reasonable price. just like to say thank you for making our weekend special we will be going back
