Barbara and Stephen were perfect hosts. Barbara shared her wealth of knowledge about this part of Cornwall. Steve is a professional chef so every meal, breakfast or dinner, was first class and consequently we chose to have most of our meals there. Together they went out of their way to ensure our week long stay was perfect. We would thoroughly recommend Smugglers. The very comfortable room with its courtyard seating area - the excellent food prepared and served by Barbara and Steve, who were a lovely friendly couple, making us feel at home from the start. We shall certainly return in the future, as the location was superb.
所有评语 » Our hostess, Barbara, was delightful and offered excellent advise regarding the local attractions. Our spacious room was beautifully appointed with everything one could possibly need. We stayed in Langley and it was very nice and private. A great location in Newlyn, right above the harbour. Our room was spotless and comfortable and provided a great nights sleep. Host was welcoming, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was the best we have had on our trip to England. The proprietors with the best we had photos wonderful. I was a little nervous that it would be noisy being above a restaurant or on the main street but it was quiet it was so lovely and parking was easy right up the street. Great welcome from Barbara. Room was clean, spacious + all mod cons. Bathroom clean & tidy with space. Food was excellent. Dinner in the restaurant highly recommended. Breakfast top notch too. Service was fine too. Had a really great stay, Rooms were great, and a fantastic choice at breakfast. Plenty to eat. Really friendly couple. Would stay there again but ask for the room down on the ground floor. There are only 3 rooms so not over crowded, each is decorated and fitted to a very high standard. The restaurant menu selection is very good and the food is superb. Very clean rooms, good quality furnishings. Fantastic food. Rooms were all at the back with their own entrances one with its own courtyard. Watching the fishing boats from the dining room window.... enjoying the gourmet cuisine....walking to Mousehole or into Penzance .. Nice rooms, nice breakfast, nice hosts, pleasant area, good weather, good local transport - hope to revisit sometime in the future. Excellent, clean room and very good food, both dinner and breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent value for money. A perfect holiday destination. wonderful accomodation food and ambience. We were extremely impressed and will return. The very friendly atmosphere and helpful hosts. Access to transport when not taking the car. One of the best evening meals I ever had. Rick Stein is not the only good Chef in Cornwall. Excellent location,very large clean rooms just a great place to stay & friendly owners. Fantastic spot on cliff above harbour. Great room, terrific food and lovely people. The land lady was very friendly, the room was lovely and the food was excellent. Beautiful room in luxury conversion. Outside space Excellent good value meals. Parking was a bit of a challenge but not serious. If you are a smoker (I am) no smoking is permitted inside or outside. Parking is a bit of an issue but it is there nearby. Unloading in the narrow street is also difficult but if you are staying in a good location in an old fishing village you have to expect this. Rooms at rear of premises - no views. The only one thing was the 2 rooms that are joined. Was how thin the wall was. You could hear the conversation. Among other noises. Just a small point. Leaving. Nothing. Parking a bit difficult, but available. Every part of our stay was excellent. Car parking arrangements away from accommodation - Constantly having to top up parking charges - A token system for the duration would be helpful if included with the package. Nothing. Parking difficult but overwhelmed by the positives. nothing. Nothing. There's nothing not to like. Nothing. No parking. Location not too good. Wouldn't return for that reason.
