  Gill and John were so warm and welcoming, we felt as if we were visiting a friends home. The full English breakfast they cooked for us each morning was fantastic! Our rooms were spotless and very comfortable. The location was ideal for walking into the shopping area of town and close surrounding areas. We really felt like we were staying in a 5 star hotel.

They even took us through the kitchen at breakfast time to see the Deer in the woods at the rear of the property. This was the one of the best beds we slept in while on our trip around England. Vince is a great host with good recommendations on what to do and how to get there. Shirley is an awesome cook and these were the best breakfasts we had in England. The location is very good - a 15 minute walk from the town so that we could enjoy wine with dinner and not worry about driving and there are lots of good restaurants in Bowness-on-Windemere - just ask Vince!
