Friendly owners who make you feel like you are welcome into their home and who greeted us like old friends, remembering us from a single short visit we had made last summer. All the staff are friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere in Fairfield House is relaxed and cosy, and the garden is full of birdsong. My partner and I wouldn't bother trying to find alternative accommodation in any future visits to the Lake District...why would we when Fairfield House has become such a significant part of .
所有评语 » Beautiful period house and garden located in quiet country lane with glorious walks into the hills directly behind. Walk below into the quaint village of Bowness. We loved having the excellent breakfasts and heading straight out behind the house for hill walks with tremendous views over Windermere. Extremely comfortable, clean room and all necessary facilities. Staff were lovely and welcoming. Would happily stay again and definitely recommend. Fairfield house was very clean and pleasently decorated. the room was excellent(superior) with the four poster bed and on suite bathroom. great view overlooking the beautiful gardens. Its location from the lake and town was just a short walk. nothing was too much trouble. very friendly. We would recommend. thank you. room was well appointed and very clean. owner/host was very friendly and knowledgable about area. breakfast was fantastic and our waiter looked after us very well. enjoyed sitting in the garden for a quiet read. close to the centre of Bowness but far enough out to be lovely and quiet.very good all round!. Staff were very helpful , a cosy small hotel comfortable Breakfasts were more than adequate tasty & plentiful offering fresh produce Lovely gardens & just a short walk to the lake & shops , and a good variety of places to dine out . We would definitely stay here again. Walkable distance into Bowness restaurants and to Lake Windermere, although up a short steep hill. The steep incline from the town to the hotel when on foot. Too soft bed & shower in the bathroom is too small to move and the water,hot water comes so slowly. being in the attic . up three flights of stairs . and steep hill to climb back to the b.b .,. the access to the centre of the village was very steep. The upgraded en suite rooms were far too small in general.
