Dogs can be accommodated on request (see Important Information for details). Built nearly 200 years ago, Fairfield is one of Lakeland's original country houses. It is now a contemporary B&B, and has an AA Four Star Gold rating with Good Breakfast accolade. Guests are offered a high standard of personal service with genuine hospitality in a homely atmosphere. The half acre of secluded, peaceful garden boasts the beautiful scent and colour of wysteria, azealia and camellia in early summer.

Friendly owners who make you feel like you are welcome into their home and who greeted us like old friends, remembering us from a single short visit we had made last summer. All the staff are friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere in Fairfield House is relaxed and cosy, and the garden is full of birdsong. My partner and I wouldn't bother trying to find alternative accommodation in any future visits to the Lake District...why would we when Fairfield House has become such a significant part of .
kaikki arvostelut » Beautiful period house and garden located in quiet country lane with glorious walks into the hills directly behind. Walk below into the quaint village of Bowness. We loved having the excellent breakfasts and heading straight out behind the house for hill walks with tremendous views over Windermere. Extremely comfortable, clean room and all necessary facilities. Staff were lovely and welcoming. Would happily stay again and definitely recommend. Fairfield house was very clean and pleasently decorated. the room was excellent(superior) with the four poster bed and on suite bathroom. great view overlooking the beautiful gardens. Its location from the lake and town was just a short walk. nothing was too much trouble. very friendly. We would recommend. thank you. room was well appointed and very clean. owner/host was very friendly and knowledgable about area. breakfast was fantastic and our waiter looked after us very well. enjoyed sitting in the garden for a quiet read. close to the centre of Bowness but far enough out to be lovely and quiet.very good all round!. We would definitely stay here again. Walkable distance into Bowness restaurants and to Lake Windermere, although up a short steep hill. Off street parking and easy access by car to the rest of the Lake District so a good base. New bathroom. Very helpful host re walks. The owner, Tony was more like a long lost friend rather than just another "hotel owner". Wish we are able to meet her wife as well who was visintg london at that time. Tony made us feel right at home. The hotel was on n easy reach of all amenities. It's friendly,clean and a quiet place at night. The staff have no trouble helping you with anything you need from taxis to ironing. High quality guest house with character, a personal touch and comfortable room. Good bathroom, superb shower. Perhaps the hill up to the hotel is a little steep but its worth the effort as you return home to a fresh new clean room that's very private. Slightly small bedroom. Only a comment but garden could do with a tidy up. Poor street lighting on walk into town - council responsibility. Not much to dislike. It's on quite a steep hill so access is a bit tricky. It could be a challenging climb for the less able. Nothing to dislike. Bed was not particularly comfortable. Nothing. N/A. Having to go home. Would have preferred breakfast sitting to have been longer. It would be hard to find anyting to dislike. Nothing to complain about at all. Nice hotel. Nothing!. nothing. The steep incline from the town to the hotel when on foot. Too soft bed & shower in the bathroom is too small to move and the water,hot water comes so slowly. being in the attic . up three flights of stairs . and steep hill to climb back to the b.b .,. the access to the centre of the village was very steep. The upgraded en suite rooms were far too small in general.
