  The front desk staff were very friendly and really went out of their way to help us. We found the 2 bedroom townhouse very comfortable and clean and perfect for us as a family with a young child. Room - Shared bathrooms are totally nice- only shared with one or two other rooms, so it's hardly noticeable even and feels as private as you'd fancy. Really awesome staff with great service and truly gourmet food in downstairs café- just off Cuba street so super centrally located, but set on a quiet, safe side street. I'll be going back again for sure! Highly recommend whether you're new to Wellington or back for a repeat visit.

The location was right in the city and it was an easy walk and elevator ride down to Lambton Quay, the waterfront, supermarket, shops etc. I especially liked the fact that given we had preschool-age children, the rooms weren't adorned with things they could 'play' with (wreck!). Parking was onsite and visib - It exceeded my expectations. For being in the heart of the city, it was great value for the money. I was worried it would be the least of places we stayed in NZ. Instead it was the nicest. My daughter and I enjoyed the access to the pool and exercise equipment, and the lift to downtown. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was most comfortable with a great kitchen, and our own washer / dryer. We would certainly recommend it to our friends.

  After being delayed by weather and airlines for 2 days, we arrived at the Copthorne quite tired, frustrated and disappointed that our three night stay had been reduced to just one night. This was meant to be the first stop on our honeymoon and as such had booked a harbour view room. We had a 8 am departure that morning and they kindly arranged for our cloths to be washed and ready by 6 am. Nothing was too much trouble and they definately "went the extra yard" Our thanks to them again.

We were picked up within five minutes of arrival, transported to our spotless, comfortable, quiet room. A wake up call was arranged for us, and an early morning taxi was there waiting for us. I had the best night's sleep, without any worries, after a really good pub meal recommended at the hotel.
