  I really had a great time. It's quite a familiar place. They invited me to a party the day I arrived to meet japanese people and had free dinner and drink. The location is good, 5 min. Away from the peace memorial and close enough to other sightseeing spots. The kitchen, the rooms and everything was very clean and comfortable. Good english. I booked a single room, which was very nice with tatami mats and a futon. the bad and the shower are shared, but the staff always clean up everything really well.   The place was perfect for what we needed. Only a minute (or less) walk to a tram stop that would take you to both Hiroshima station and Miyajima station. It was only a 5 minute walk to the peace park, and a 10 minute walk to the main shopping district. I was traveling with my sister and our room was a perfect size for us - we only had - Couldn't be more conveniently located for the sights but not noisy as it's in a quite area nearby. Very sweet lady owner, who tries to help in every way she can. She knows just enough English but is happy to speak Japanese if you want to practice-just the right balance. She made a good recommendation for a restaurant/ bar 3 minutes walk away, which does Italian/ Japanese food. An absolute bargain for the price-a very complete Japanese breakfast.   This ryokan is managed by some great Japanese people - you'll get a chance to see especially the elderly. They're sweet and helpful. And I loved the ryokan. When we decided to stay an extra night and she didn't have space, we looked online and couldn't find anything open.
