Conveniently located with easy access. The room was a bit small but however sufficient for a one night stay. Thy option for quick and somewhat cheaper "EXPRESS BREAKFAST" is a good solution for those travelers who have no wish for a "BUFFET" meal. This is a good hotel with friendly helpful staff. We stayed only one night but the food was good the room clean and spacious. Special mention for Rebecca a receptionist and the duty manager both are excellent and a credit to the hotel.

Bayonne is a pleasant pace and don´t forget to visit the cathedral and the monastery. Great location beside the river. Heated swimming pool. Excellent and helpful staff - particularly the ladies on Reception. Secure gated parking - free during May. Would stay there again. Not much, apart from the staff. It was a bland hotel that you could find in any European city. I would not have chosen it if the internet description had been more accurate. everything from the staff who are very helpfull, the food in the restaurant, and breakfast was excellent location is very good and secure parking free of charge. Waiters and reception had to cover the bar the duty manager was running around and only at the end of his shift did he have time to spend with the guests. Room was a litte small, but functional. This was a big disappointment. From the web photo I was expecting a hotel overlooking the old town, and not a former Mercure overlooking a sports stadium. It took us an hour to find it and the food was terrible. We were two of six diners in a 100+ cover restaurant, but the staff were good. nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing!. No coffee/tea making facilities in room. If your scope is Biarritz, don't choose to stay in Bayonne for better price/comfort as I did, you will regret. My basic room was small so not recommended for two people. Small rooms, small beds. Small room. Terrible internet access, and lack of availability of the receptionist to try to solve it. 4 stars is a good score for the spa and facilities, but the finishing touch in the room is not perfect. A little dusty. Beds on wheels moved a lot. No safe, thin towels, no fridge, no kettle. In short, this is a budget hotel but not at budget prices. Foods; for a 4 stars Hotel, with Jurancon missing!!!!! Except the environment, does not belong to a 4 stars Hotel. We were touring europe and this is the smallest double room I have ever been in we had to sit on the bed to pass the television or open the wall units,LIKE being in a cupboard. A design hotel!!!.
