  Amazing location, about two blocks from beach. Great place to stay with dogs. Small room but well thought out with large walk in closet which means you can stash your luggage out of the way. Cool double shower heads in slightly larger shower. The only thing odd is all the rooms I saw have sliding glass doors facing the deck where everyone walks by... vad folk säger » but the view cancelled out any awkwardness to the layout. Simple breakfast, terrible coffee but there is a coffee house one block away. Really what d - Super friendly and caring staff. They found a way to provide me with a room with a view! I felt welcome and valued as a customer. The motel is located in a perfect spot within walking distance to a 2.5 seaside path, the boardwalk amusement park,and downtown restaurants and shops. The rooms are clean and comfortable, a very nice place to stay.

  We were planning a last minute (anniversary) trip up north for a concert we were attending in Mountain View. Our choice to stay in Santa Cruz was because of the boardwalk and it would be a new place to explore for us. Fireside Inn was within our budget, right next to the boardwalk (walking distance) and we very much enjoyed our stay. The Host let us check-in 2 hours early because he knew we were traveling from - Everything basically. The hotel has gone over some major construction and is under new management so all the old reviews don't apply. We were expecting a really dirty and shody room so we brought our own sheets and blankets but we didn't need them because the room was so pristine! The sheets were so white and smelled good and the room was so clean! The staff is super friendly and funny and so helpful!! And of course the location is perfect!   I loved that were super nice and welcoming. Very friendly and warming. They also helped my boyfriend stage our room so that he could ask me to marry him...boy was that a big surprise...Our room was great. I loved that it was so personable and quiet.   We had a wanderful 3 days trip in this hotel. This hotel is just a short drive from Santa Cruz and about an 1 drive from San Francisco. The room was very clean and the bed was very confortable. This hotel is very good if you want to stay close to Santa Cruz or eve - The rooms and the staff were most attentive to our needs. The desk staff friendly and helpful. We had an excellent waiter for dinner who understood our needs and time constraints; he also arranged a cab for us. The bed was comfortable and got a good nights sleep.

  I love the location its the closest to the beach broadwalk. The room was very clean and quiet. It was a great deal. You can walk to the beach come back take a shower and come back to the broadwalk. If you want to save money bring food and since they have microwave and refrigerator you can come back to your room any time.   The hotel is in walking distance from the beach and boardwalk and downtown Santa Cruz. The double king room where we stayed was very roomy and clean. Actually, the room was like a suite of two rooms (with one bed in each room) sharing a single bath. The staff was friendly. We stayed in a jacuzzi room and it was just perfect. I love that there is a separate living room/kitchen and bdrm and the fact that the bath is huge with a large shower and separate jacuzzi.   Manager staff was excellent and gave us very helpful information. The hotlel location was perfect for our stay. Room was clean and comfortable. We would stay again at the Bay Front Inn. - Great location near the beach, quiet, nice pool and garden area,comfortable and clean.

  The hotel staff and manager were understanding to allow us a late check in (11:30pm) and a late check out (1pm) upon request. The breakfast served is simple but certainly adequate as we were on the go in the morning. With 2 guys and 2 girls, we appreciated the layout of the space which had 2 rooms (a queen in each)divided by a center wall. The young lady who registered was excellent and very friendly. I'm hoping to be able to go there again and not to expensive. For a senior being able to walk to the boardwalk and pier and not get lost was all worth it.

We were assigned a room on the first floor oof the main building (the Continental Inn as split across 2 buildings, the main building is where the Jacuzzi is and where all the pet accomodating rooms are).
