Located a short walk to upper broadway which is jam packed full of
everything u could ask for. Everything !! short walk to the #1 subway
line which takes u all the way down to battery park. There are
housing projects directly behind thebuilding, but there was no
trouble at all & that just added to the whole atmosphere of
staying in ny. They put on several events on each day & night so
u get to meet a lot of other travelers & explore in a group.

actually just a very small space of floor which is taken mostly of the
bed and just a small cupboard, and the room is separated from the others
just by a tiny wall. So you feel like sleeping in a large space of beds,

This place can only be as good as the people who stay there - the walls
between rooms in the sleeping area don't reach the ceiling and every

For the money we paid it was really good. New york hotels are expensive! For this price u cant expect that much. It was just a simple room with a bed, a sink and a tv but thats all you need for a couple of days. We stayed there for just one night. The staff was friendly so all in all it was a nice stay there. Friendly guys at reception, possibility to leave suitcase there after check-out (for $4), there was even breakfast included in the price (very very basic though, but all I need in the morning is a coffee to get me going :-), easy to meet fellow travellers (the people staying there were all really communicative and friendly and interesting to talk to) in the lounge, which is the only place to get free wifi on your mobile or laptop in the hostel

Place was not the easiest to find and from the outside really did not
look great. However, inside was clean and quiet. Staff are not around
much and I didn't mind. I was very happy with my private room as it
was clean, quiet and comfortable. The upstairs bathroom was a plus. -

The hostel made solo traveller feels at ease. It is near the metro station and make the travelling easier.
The hostel staff is friendly. Staying in the shared room in the hostel was overall a pleasant experience as this was my first time. It's more economical.
