  Hotel room and public areas were very clean. Our room had newer carpet and new shower/tub, very good rainhead shower. Towels, sheets and shower curtain clean. Plenty of parking and small pool in back. Staff were courteous and check in quick. Room had good ac. Beds comfortable and hotel very quiet at night for a good sleep. Price was much lower than other Portsmouth hotels on a busy summer weekend and was a very good deal for the pr - Check in at 1:00 pm was fast, smooth and the Man at the counter was very nice. Our room was great until I noticed the smoke alarm was hanging and water was leaking from it. Then the alarm went off when we had to go get a few things. They put us in another room very quickly. (also please read negative feed back)

  The Port Inn was comfortable, with a friendly and helpful staff. It is slightly outside the busy, touristy downtown area and we felt this was a plus. The hotel was full, but it was very quiet. The room (we had one of the honeymoon suites) was nicely furnished, very clean with ample, thick towels and a comfortable bed (the pillows were a bit flat a... vad folk säger » nd needed to be replaced...a minor issue for us). We did not have the breakfast, but it looked tasty. We would definitely stay here again. - Very informed & friendly staff. Super clean & comfortable. Great amenities. Diverse offerings for the continental breakfast (fruit, yogurt, bagels & toast in addition to the normal offerings of muffins and doughnuts). Convenient location, just a few minute drive to downtown Portsmouth, about an hour to Boston. Great value for the price. This was our second visit and we'll be back.
