This is a small property coming back to life. It was very clean. Good value. As I was very ill, I had to stay in the room while my husband and friends went to death valley. No problem. Excellent staff. It was where I needed a place on the road in the dessert. The new management is really nice, has great ambition to clean the place up. When you pull in it may be a little scary, but it was great.
alla recensioner » It has all the amenities you need having just fallen out of Death Valley: air conditioning, WiFi and comfy beds. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but it does the job! It's quiet too!. Unlike some reviews suggested, the hotel was actually clean and bug free. Quiet. Location: very close to Death Valley. They had a family room You feel like already in the desert. The room is very simple and old fashioned but for the price, you don't expect a luxury hotel. Good value for money. Amber was really nice and we enjoyed talking to her. Unfortunetly the Motel is old and outdated. She is going to do renovations soon. So I will check back with her in a couple years and see how she did. Comfortable rooms, access to microwave, good free wifi, interesting look, hosts were friendly!. Felt like being in the old cowboy movie setting cheaper than any other motel in that area. The staff was very kind. She made coffee early in the morning at 6am just for us. Spectacular location. A good layover spot to break up a long drive. Friendly staff Clean. Kevin, the staff member with whom we interacted, was a friendly soul. Location was OK since we had to break our journey for night rest. Morning view of the mountains to the west. Location. The woman who checked us in was friendly and professional. Localization very close to Death Valley. Beautiful view of Sierras. OK price. Nothing at all. I am surprised the hotel has managed to receive any custom. Shouldn't be able to operate. Below even the most basic of requirements. I am no hotel snob and I can muck in with the best of them but this really was dire. The location was a great stop-over point for us. Bed and toilet were clean. I honestly can't think of a single thing. Air conditioned. nothing. Beds need to be replaced and outside to be painted. First impression - did not last long. As soon as you meet Amber. It's a little farther out of town than I expected, not many food places open nearby. Bad and strong smell in the rooms Only coffee for breakfast: don't forget to bring something to eat. For me the beds were to soft and the towels way to thin. But the room was clean and that is important. Shower was rubbish, coffee wasn't hot. The facility and room were below average. Room available when we arrived was not the one we reserved. Our 15 yr. Old daughter had to sleep on the floor. Owner did not have any blankets or bedding. Luckily we had some in the car or I'm not sure what we would have done. Room was cold with a/c on and no way to turn off and no blankets available. Needs updating. Dilapidated room and fittings; windows sealed; scary closet with the top open to pipe fittings, atrocious price (It is, at best, worth a third of what I paid!): The worst hotel / motel accommodation I have been in anywhere in the world and, I have traveled the world over!. Motel is in poor condition (uncomfortable mattress, low quality carpet, no place in the shower to put soap and other supplies). Was provided with a smaller room than what I reserved. Conditions as on the desert. Good for those who want experience "horror movie" style motel ;). Really a wreck! Dangerously in disrepair. Cracked windows, no really hot water, disgraceful shower, no sink plug, total state of disrepair, filthy ceiling vent for air- conditioning, outside like a junk yard. Clearly the owners are unable to finance a refurb because it has gone too far. To be honest, the place is very run down. It only just holds itself together. The owners are clearly trying their best with limited resources, but they simply can't keep up with pace of decay. I don't know where to start. Being greeted by owners with stained clothing, the appalling quality of the furnishings, a bed that must have been years old and sagged dreadfully. I have travelled extensively and it is amongst the worst accommodation I have had the misfortune to use in the Western Hemisphere. Had I not booked and paid for it in advance I would have driven on many miles to find something else. Run down outside. Didn't make up room on second day. Towels were thin and old. No extra toliet paper. Only two channels on TV,no ice. No internet service as advertised. everything. The building , the room, the A/c, all very poor, not to be recomended to any traveller, in 9 weeks in the USA this was easily the worst.
