It was a really nice stay. The owner showed us everything we needed to know. We had all the comfort we wished for. Everything was clean and worked properly. Everywhere you looked you found details showing how much good work and inspiration were put into the appartements. Even questions about the Death Valley where we were going to were answered with knowledge and patience. Very nicely remodeled room that was surprisingly comfy and cute for a roadside RV park in the middle of nowhere. I had driven past it back and forth from Mammoth for 30 years. I will certainly stay there again if I need to break up the drive. Great value.
alla recensioner » Very friendly and helpful staff, extremely comfortable bed, clean! When we told the receptionist we were on our honeymoon, she brought us a bottle of good Californian wine to our room! :). big, clean, well equipped apartment (it looked like a new one - fresh clean furniture, etc.). Warm, spring-fed swimming pool. right at the west entrance of the death valley, apparently the only hotel in Olancha. OK for one night stay. Staff were extremely helpful and found us more suitable - and cheaper - accommodation than we'd booked. Neigbourhood to Death Valley. Near Death Valley. easy to find. Convenient half way point between Yosemite and death valley. Fun to sleep in a rv. Guy kindly waited for us although we arrived late at night. air, close to parking, close to pool, great pool, great views, staff very friendly and helpful. Near the Death Valley. View. A little noisy being next to the highway. When it is dark, it is a bit difficult to find the hotel as it is not very well lit and has no big sign in front of it. my room was facing the road and I could clearly hear all the cars... could be annoying while sleeping (not in my case). Only three TV channels. the room heater was broken and the back-up provided wasn't very effective. Very basic mobile home. No frills! Didn't see the motel rooms. If you want comfort keep driving to Lone Pines. Pool was not clean. Too expensive comparing the status of the facilities. I could not find any of the staff in the evening. Extremely expecive!. Some of the electrics didn't work. Guy said he'd be there in the morning but we didn't see him so had no breakfast as shop was closed. Ants everywhere on kitchen work surface so left promptly to go back to lone pine and had breakfast there. Expensive for what it is. lack of good restaurants and stores in the area, not clean enoughfor my standard(floor, windows etc.). Technical condition - sink in the bathroom provides only drops of water. too cold in room, bad air conditioner. Bathroom down corridor.
