  Staff is amazing, both in the front desk, services and lounge. Once you go in, you are handled in the best way possible, so you can focus on what matters most. - Close to Staples where my teenagers attended an event. Club Lounge was wonderful. The staff was friendly and professional!! Thank you for a great stay.

  Located in Central la on Melrose which is a busy street but less than fi Hollywood Blvd or Highland or any of the big thoroughfares and keeping in mind that it's an old hotel, they're taking good care of it. It's practically across the street from Paramount Pictures, it's within walking distance of Hollywood blvd/Sun - Pros I was able to check in early. Jonah at the front desk was very helpful. The decor is fantastic. The old elevators are really cool. The bed was very comfortable and the air cond worked great. Close to many Hollywood spots and plenty of free parking. The hotel has the look as the type of place a 1920's gangster would stay in it's really cool. Cons A bit pricy 137.00 for the night. No phone in the room. The room is small as is the bathroom.   What did I like about the hotel? Everything! All the staff were very friendly and polite and the hotel was very homely and stylish. I will definitely recommend it to my friends who may be staying in LA and will be back again for another great experience if I come back to LA.   As soon as we arrived this hotel captured us. It's location was easy to find from the airport (though the driving on the other side of the road/car was a little taxing). The Standard sign placed upside down, the fire heated outside seating area, the colouful indoor waiting area with pool table, warm and welcoming staff with a hairdressers and shop... vad folk säger » all waiting when you enter. We were upgraded to a room with a larger bed and docking station (the bed being the biggest ive seen, let alone slept in) - Everything was perfect. Excellent staff, special mention to Rodrigo, very helpful since the very beginning. The Rooftop is simply amazing, with a nice atmosphere and good music. We did not used the pool as it was always full, LOL. The location is also very good, with the 7th street Metro station 2 blocks away.
