Our reception on arrival was warm and friendly. This was our first visit to Boston and as it was early evening we were able to quickly obtain the information we needed regarding where to go to eat.
The room was clean and fresh with all we needed. However only 1 tea bag so for tea drinking Brit's this was a concern!
Location excellent for everything we wanted to do. Close to duck tours, good restaurants and only a short walk to Boston Common

The staff was very friendly. The rooms were extremely clean! Bed very comfortable. I asked the cleaning person to leave me more coffee for the room and left some money for her to take. Location was great! Its a very historical building and its been updated. On the first night, there was banging like someone was using a hammer at 9pm and I called the front desk and it stopped! Also, the door man was such a delight...helped get our car, load the car, offered help with directions, even gave our son some small toys! -

The hotel is in a good location. Staff members are nice, however, I would not say that they were excellent. We actually did not have any particular problem with them, so let's say they are OK. The services of the hotel are pretty good, including the every day newspaper, the information booklet in the room (which was extremely helpful) and the free wifi. Those who usually use the mini bar should be aware that there was no such thing in the room (we do not have any issue with this).

Very accommodating staff - Located in a quiet side road. Ideal to go shoping by foot. Nice stores (also grocery) close by. As for the rooms it seems to depend on which room you get: I was located 1 block away from Copley House and enjoyed the suite very much.

Unfortunately we arrived just after the bombs had gone off, the staff were on hand immediately to help and reassure us, they were extremely kind and upgraded us to a suite. Maureen booked us in for dinner at a local Restaurant and even sent us over her favourite cocktail while we were having dinner. Room was very comfortable and clean, location was good - will be back!!

Hotel 140 is located only a 5-minute walk from the rear exit of Back Bay Railroad Station. Upon arrival I had taken the train from Springfield, MA. I followed the drive where the local buses pull into Back Bay Station right out to Clarendon Street and bore left. I had just a half-block walk from that point to the front entrance of the hotel.
