My wife and I travel from Yuba City CA, to Riverton Wyo. and spend the night in Elko as half way point both ways, The gold country Inn has been a great place to stay. Service is great, rooms are large and clean, rooms have real glassware and cups instead of paper cups. for the price it is a great place to stay. All of the Hotels personnel, check in and check out were very well versed in any question. room was exceptionally clean. Was a great place to stay and would highly recommend it to any traveler or family. Price and value were well below our budget. just a wonderful place to stay.
alla recensioner » We stayed only one night but it was a very pleasant one. The staff were very friendly and our room was very clean and comfortable. We got upgraded without asking and also a reduced rate. Both a nice surprise! It was worth the money. Great value for price. Food was above average. Room was large and clean. Used glassware in the room instead of paper cups. Received welcome call soon after we arrived in room. Ordered extra pillow and received it promptly. Room and grounds were pristine. Staff called my room after I had time to unpack to ask me what I thought of it!!! Restaurant on premises had wonderful food and service both for dinner and breakfast. The staff was exceptional... I stayed there on my way to Californina and on my way home to Missouri and it was one of the best stops I made. Perfect example of never judge a book by its cover!. The room was large compared to most hotel rooms. A sink both inside and outside of the bathroom. Fridge and microwave in room. Staff very friendly and helpful! Room felt clean and comfy. I liked Jr;s restaurant that is located on property. I especially liked, really loved the personal service that Crystal at the check in desk provided to me!!!. Could not watch Netflix on my laptop because the wireless was too slow. I have state of the art equipment because I am a tech pro and this wirteless connection, though it had 5 bars, was way too slow. Nothing. Check-in is in very smokey casino. nothing. The stale, tobacco smell that permeated the hotel registration and grill areas. I stayed at 5 hotels in a 11-day period and at one of the hotels I received huge bed bug bites. This was one of the hotels, however I do not know which one had the bed bugs because it can take up to 9 days for them to appear. Just an FYI--best check before sleeping. Nothing. Nothing. It was all good. Used bandage left on carpet when we checked in. Nothing. Both the pillows and the mattresses were too hard for our comfort. Room small. Too much smoke in casino but room away from that atmosphere. They did not get the note I put on my reservation. All trash dumpsters in parking lot I could see were mounded with trash so high lids would not close. Tv extremely small. Difficult to find outlet to charge computer and phones. Wow..this place has really gone down hill. The bed was the absolute worst! The mattress was extremely old and uncomfortable. The carpet was filthy!! Maybe it is just the building A that is bad..even the outside stairs smelled like urine! Disgusting place!.
