  Reception staff were very helpful and friendly and on arrival we found we had been upgraded. Restaurent staff were very efficient at breakfast and food was very varied and good.   Staff were very friendly and accomodating - nothing was too much trouble. This was highlighted when I was telling the receptionist how we were married at the George 18yrs ago but never got to stay in the 'teardrop room'; after checking her register she told us that the room was free and that we would be most welcome to use it.   Just had the most fabulous weekend at this hotel - the room was gorgeous, perfectly clean and really warm. The food in the restaurant was fantastic, especially the desserts! The breakfast also couldnt be faulted - I'm veggie and they were very accomodating. Staff were all friendly, welcoming and helpful.
