The location was ideal especially with the cliff lift so near. It was so convenient in the evening to use it to and from the restaurants on the sea front. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel had a welcoming and relaxing feel ot it. The staff are very friendly and obliging. The food is excellent and restaurant manager and staff are professional and hard working. The room was very clean and recently renovated with all modern facilities.

Towels not changed. all in all a very pleasant stay. The wasted space on the third floor and no out door space to sit and have a drink. The roof terrace lends itself to an art deco style seating area with steamer chairs/palm plants etc. It would feel like being on board a boat looking out to sea. Limited dinner menu. Outside décor needs makeover. Nothing. A very small lift, decor a bit dated but fascinating. The variety of the breakfast buffet was lacking and the staff were very poor at speaking English. none. Nothing. a little old. being asked to move to another table at breakfast as apparently tables can be reserved but no reserved signs were on any tables in dining room. very embarrassing and totally ridiculous. we arrived at 2030pm and was told the restaurant was closed so we asked if there was any snacks at the bar. we were told no because all the chefs had gone home, so our addvice is to make sure to have something to eat before getting to the hotel otherwise you will end up starving hungry until breakfast time the next morning!!!!! also advise taking a pack of beer with you cos the bar shuts at 2300pm not midnight as advertised on the website. Property was very old. Could do with a complete renovation. Room itself was very good, it was the dining room and corridors and main reception entrance that seemed very dated. Price was steep for the quality of the hotel. Hotel was in need of modernisation and needs brightening up ,dark décor . Bathroom was not that clean. Hotel needs a complete facelift it looks very old clean but tired old signs up etc mainly for older people 70+. Poor breakfast, mean portions, 1 slice of bacon, 1 poor quality sausage (probably from Iceland). More like a kids happy meal. breakfast. Bathroom needs work very poor finish. The hotel is very dated they have updated the rooms but other parts of hotel it's like stepping back to the seventies, as younger people it felt like an old people's home. Very old fashioned Needs a refurbishment Not good value Sauna not working apparently we needed to give notice if we wanted to use it. Staff very brusque.
