Frendly efficient staff and everything is very clean. It's not the least stuffy and you feel at ease there. An encouraging price structure sympathetic to what for many people are hard pressed times. An alternative for me would have been to have made two 200mile car journeys in one day rather than one -

We had a code to get in if we came in late (we went to a concert at Snape Maltings (which is less than 2 miles away) then sat outside on the picnic benches and had a late snack and a glass of wine in the warm night - bliss. Very handy for Orford too and lots of walking and cycling tracks at the doorstep -

Almost everything, really! Very convenient location for us, nice and quiet, unpretentious, extremely clean and comfortable room with plenty of space and large bed, immaculate shower/bath/WC room, very pleasant Beefeater next door again with unpretentious but tasty menu. The hotel is only 20min drive from Cambridge, and although we worried about the car park, it is right in front of the hotel and very easy to access. Yes the hotel is slightly tired, but in a quaint way, felt very homely and personal, much like the staff, very helpful and polite.
The broadband is quite limiting, many words are banned. even sensible ones that I needed for work, but not a real issue.
