  This is a little out of the way and not easy to get to with public transportation, but we were extremely happy we made the effort to stop here. We very much enjoyed our stay here. The house and rooms were clean, comfortable, and incredibly charming. The hosts were very nice and friendly, and breakfast was delicious and they are able to accommod... vad folk säger » ate vegetarians. This is part of a working stables and it was very nice to get a more genuine experience and it felt less touristy than a big city. - A great welcome, Friendly, Clean, Would have stayed longer but we was booked in across the road at the Craig y nos castle which i'm sorry the rooms are not worth the money at £150 per night but this B & B is 100% Worth the money for £65 per night so me and my husband recommend this totally.

  The hotel is set in a nice location convenient to Hay-on-Wye and the Black Mountains. The staff were excellent. They were friendly as well as efficient. Shower in ensuite was powerful easy to adjust and water temperature perfect. Soft towelling robes supplied was a very nice touch .

  Very welcoming and informal. Food and Room were excellent. Will definitely stay again. - The room was well maintained. Nice, relaxed bar area. They served really tasty food.

  Ground floor twin room is ideal for people who can't do stairs. Convenient wet room shower en suite. Easy free parking and easy access to outside seating. Fantastic breakfast and very quiet but also very near the centre. Lots of eating places nearby.   The staff were wonderful a problem with the room was resolved straight away with the offer of an alternative the food and service in the dining room were exeptional and the rooms were well equipped and cosy - Quaint old building, good breakfast, froendly staff.

  Everything! The room was cosy but perfectly adequate with clean bedding, all mod cons and a pretty view across the fields. Bernie and John were wonderful friendly hosts who not only plied us with delicious home cooked breakfasts every morning but also gave us great local info as to where to go and what to see (OS maps were v useful thank you!) We ... vad folk säger » would definately recommend to anyone wanting to stay in a relaxed, informal rural setting but still within a 10 minute walk of the centre of Llanwrtyd - We stayed at Cerdyn Villa for three nights and we really enjoyed our stay there thanks to Bernice and John.They're wonderfull,friendly and welcoming people who make their guests feel like at home and almost as a part of their family.John helped us a lot by giving as tips where to go and what places to visit.Not forgetting his lovely,tasty breakfasts with daily,freshly baked bread and fresh eggs from their own chicken:-) Bernice-we loved your pink car! The room was gorgeous- we really loved it. It was an attic room - but large and beautifully done, with a lovely en-suite. The Kilverts is a pub with a really nice atmosphere and great food.   The owners were fabulous. Even though we arrived very late they still gave us the full gourmet restaurant service and their friendliness and interest made us feel that we were staying with old friends. - quiet, very nice view, lovely people, very good restaurant

  A friendly welcome from Mark, not too much fuss. The whole house was beautifully presented and immaculate- I think it is the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in!   My wife and I were only staying at Portland House for one night, to break up our journey down to South Wales, so I was particularly impressed by the way that we were so warmly welcomed by owner Ruth. She was very friendly and helped us to relax as soon as we arrived. She and her husband Ross were also full of useful information, about the town, i.... vad folk säger » e. suggesting places for our evening meal and the types of cuisine, pricing and distances etc. They were also able to give us plenty of information ab - Stayed in Room 1 - fabulous huge room with en-suite bathroom, wardrobe, period fireplace, 'home comforts' (TV, tea/coffee facilities) and best of all, extremely comfortable and cosy king-size bed. Room was spacious and tastefully decorated. Breakfast (full British) was delicious and arrived quickly when ordered. Ruth, the hard-working co-owner/receptionist/waitress/chef(!), was very friendly and helpful - it was nice to get a text from her a couple of days before my arrival asking what time

  On arrival there was a friendly and warm welcome from the hosts Roger & Katy with tea and cake (home made). The rooms were well decorated well apportioned and very comfortable. The breakfast was very good and the whole experience was very pleasurable just like staying with friends. A joy to stay at and would certainly return. - Absolutely loved everything from the moment we drove up to the time we had to leave. Delightful owners. Beautiful well mannered children. Our room was gorgeous with a lovely big bath and good quality toiletries. The pub in town was unique, and had a nice feeling being full of locals. I would highly recommend staying here, you won't be disappointed.
