  Like most hotels in Douglas it is now an old building, but everywhere inside the hotel was nice and clean and the staff where very helpfull. I was in a single room, but not too small and the shower was fine. The buffett breakfast, eat all you like, was good all three days I stayed, cerial, juice, bacon, sausage, eggs etc For me the location was ... vad folk säger » perfect on the front in walking diatance from the Queens Pub, up a very steep hill for the TT Races Paddock, the Electric Railway for the Laxey Wheel - great location just off the sea front, excellent shared sitting room - like home, friendly and very helpful proprietress, small but very comfy room with tiny ensuite shower room, sensibly and practically updated, fresh tasteful bedding, really comfy bed, light bedroom (sea-view rm on 2nd floor) adequate breakfast, especially for the price, and lovely female staff with her young son (5ish) helping out!   The location of the Hotel was excellent. The bedroom and bathroom were ample-sized for two people and very clean. Towels were changed as and when requested. The breakfast choice was superb, cooked to order and hot. Nothing was too much trouble. We arrived late morning, check in normally 2pm, and as we had advi - Great location (within walking distance of Douglas and all its attractions). Very clean and comfortable room (albeit quite basic) with kingsize bed - unusual for a Guest House (where one would expect a double bed only). Extraordinarily friendly and extremely helpful team of staff (we left early and in place of breakfast they made us lovely sandwiches to eat at a more 'sensible' hour).   The proprietors kindly provided me with soya milk as previously requested and additionally, olive oil spread. My breakfast was cooked fresh as I arrived in the diding room. The proprietors passed on a telephone message from my wife. - We stayed in room one, which has rear facing windows, so it was quiet at night.   As i was travelling alone worried about staying on my own in a place that doesn't have 24hr reception desk or staff within the hotel however that was not a issue to my suprise. I felt very safe, staff were excellent, friendly couldn't do enough for you. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating and the breakfast portions made sure you didn't go hungry.

  The owners of this lovely, very cozy, CLEAN and comfortable B & B have turned the idea of a host into a mix between friend/adviser/troubleshooter! No request was too big (they even found me a Xmas pudding in the middle of summer!!!), they were always there with a friendly word and good advise.
