Exactly as reviews say: a comfortable family-run hotel with helpful staff and excellent full English breakfast. The staff were incredibly friendly. The Hotel is very well positioned with excellent links to public transport. We were using it for ease of access when going to West Ham for football and its about a 30 min walk. Excellent food outlets throughout Stratford. Very reasonable prices and large choice when using the Hotel bar. Breakfast very adequate (fresh fruit,cereal) before moving on to freshly cooked items which you can tell are all freshly prepared. Very good value for money. would recommend a

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and made us feel so welcome. The room was small but comfortable and the location was perfect. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was superb. The building has lots of character. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful, historic building decorated in period style including the retention of fantastic (but tiny) lift with manually operated cage doors. Staying here made me feel like I was a diplomat! Excellent accommodation. Decoration and fixtures are of a very high standard. Staff really helpful and friendly, we were there for a concert at the Emirates so parking was for residents only, so they arranged permits for us as well. Excellent location with rail/bus connection 50 yards away. We will definitely be booking again in the future.

The room was wonderful but in part that was because I had 6/7 (both)
access to myself. With only a small room on its own - even with an
excellent bathroom - I would have found it too small for C21st
expectations. On the other hand, the staff(a manager?) was wonderful,
including letting me use the breakfast room to do some emails etc. and

So many hotels are identical, and I stay in a lot of hotels! It was really nice to have something that was out of the ordinary for once, yet still in a good location (right next to Kings Cross station) and with functionality ... free wireless etc. A great breakfast, an extremely helpful and courteous staff, overall it made a very good impression.
