  Perfect location for New Year, everything in walking distance, close to Trafalgar Square, easy access to Embankment for fireworks and New Year day parade passed front door...not to mention the hotel festivities, plenty going on in a stylish, refined way.   Friendly welcoming reception. Couldn't find our booking because it was listed under our first names (joined together) instead of our last name. Thankfully, since we are Hilton Honors members and could give them our member number, they found it that way! But other than that, our stay was flawless. We stayed there 3 separate times and they remembere - The close proximity to the airport is great! There is an airport shuttle (for a fee) that takes you right to the door. Arrange a room with breakfast included, it's worth it. Service is well above average to say the least! The gym was well equipped for a bit of a work out before trying to get some sleep prior to the early flight the next day. You are a captive audience here, as there is nothing else around, but the hotel has plenty to offer for a short stop before continuing on your journey. Hig

  My husband and I stayed at the South Place Hotel for a week's vacation. The hotel is in the heart of the business district, so it is a quieter neighborhood on the weekends, but bustling during the week. There are a number of nearby pubs, and a Marks & Spencer across the street if you require groceries.   Hotel Rafayel is a class act, it is grand design that mixes latest technology without being over bearing, and architecturally this is one of the finest hotels for the quality and the price I paid for. I took a suite and 223 is one great suite, it is huge and the facilities are immense. Five star hotel - I was very concerned as I had read few reviews about the location. I think location vise it on one of the best find, few minutes from my favorite haunt Blue Bird on the Kings Road. Locations is more than offset by unimaginable luxury of the rooms and the size of the corridors, immense public areas for a small hotel likes this added character and class to our entire stay. Very few hotels attract me to stay two evenings in a row for food and spa, this definitely did, will stay in future.

The room service breakfast is very good, the "Montcalm breakfast" easily serves two and is then quite a good deal. We had a nice quiet room with a view over a side street even th - Location was excellent. Valet carparking provided, which is good as the carpark is quite a walk away near speakers corner. If you have loads of bags then it will be troublesome. Luxury hotel. Swimming pool, jacuzzi and steam room open from 7am-11pm for all guests free. Spa treatments at a cost. Very good attention to detail to the smaller things. Outstanding cleanliness. Incredibly polite staff. The decor was superb, which coupled with the above gives weight to the 5 star rating
