  What a wonderful place! The host was very welcoming. Offered tea when we arrived and spent time just getting to know us. The room was large, comfortable, and wonderfully decorated. Visitors are given access to a lovely upper room with large tv and sitting area. There is also a downstairs room with pool table. Breakfast was served in a lovely dinin... vad folk säger » g room, was delicious, and left us feeling very pampered. The walk to town and the harbor was within a ten minute walk. - Everything! This is THE jewel in the scottish crown. Utterly stunning guest house with hosts who are so welcoming. The rooms in this baronial house are quite simply breathtaking and are wonderful recreations of period decor. If you want real scottish hospitality with sheer luxury and that "highland house" feel the Durn rates in our top 3 stays in over 20 years of traveling all over the world. Try it for yourself.

  We Booked into the Glenesk hotel for just a few nights in February 2013 as I was viewing property in this lovely area, (which I luckily got) and reading the on-line reviews liked the look of it. This is actually a very hard review to write for me, I don't usually have that problem!! but will do my best as I enjoyed my stay so much it is hard to cr... vad folk säger » iticise it. The Staff are GREAT, I did not meet one member of staff who was not First Class, from reception, the bar and restaurant nothing was too mu - From the moment of arrival, the welcome was amazing, they bent over backwards to ensure we were comfortable, well fed, and relaxed. Great staff, great feel, has to be one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in, and due to business, I stay in a lot of hotels! They really did have the personal touch! The rooms are spacious, and tastefully decorated, and spotless!, The food was stunning, and the bar well stocked with a variety of good wines, real ales and of course whiskey. The setting is quiet, p

  Everything. The apartments are located centrally with bus connections across the road. The apartment was clean well kept and the staff was very helpful.
