  The breakfast was just amazing!!! Was better than any B&B that we have stayed at, very impressed. For what we payed, room was very basic and slightly on the small side. I still view this as a positive as we are realists and expect to pay for what we got, the room was slightly small BUT so was the price for this accomodation. Totally recommend ... vad folk säger » for anyone who isn't worried about all the frills and extras but still want good quality accomodation. It suited us perfectly for two nights and could - The hotel was in a great area with plenty of restaurants and bars within easy walking distance, the hotel was easily reached on foot from both the railway and bus station. The rooms were clean, comfortable had a safe at no extra cost and opening windows The breakfast in the morning was excellent with so much choice!!!

  Spacious and comfortable- I think staff struggle when it is busy to be available but it does have a rather welcoming informality about the place. Don't worry about no breakfast- lots of cafe's nearby- I HIGHLY recommend "the Square" cafe round the corner- superb at very reasonable prices and lovely staff!   I highly recommend Caravel Guest House. It’s located in the centre of the New Town close to the railway station and the shopping area. The rooms are cozy and the toilets are very clean. The breakfast is nice if you take the cooked breakfast. We'll stay there again if we go back to Edinburgh.

  The staff was very pleasant and very helpful. The premises, including the shared bathroom, were spotlessly clean, and the breakfast choice quite extensive. Breakfast itself was of high quality. Internet was fast. The location is also pretty good, about 10-15 minute walk from the Castle and Princes Street (and the airport bus line). The food and cooking was excellent. The location near Tollcross and the canal, with free parking was ideal for me. It had a high standard of cleanliness
