  The breakfast was just amazing!!! Was better than any B&B that we have stayed at, very impressed. For what we payed, room was very basic and slightly on the small side. I still view this as a positive as we are realists and expect to pay for what we got, the room was slightly small BUT so was the price for this accomodation. It suited us perfectly for two nights and could - The hotel was in a great area with plenty of restaurants and bars within easy walking distance, the hotel was easily reached on foot from both the railway and bus station. The rooms were clean, comfortable had a safe at no extra cost and opening windows The breakfast in the morning was excellent with so much choice!!!

  Kleines, sehr persönlich geführtes Guest House. Ein Nichtraucher-Haus. Mein Einzelzimmer hatte einen separaten Eingang und eine einwandfreie Nasszelle, außerdem mindestens doppelt so viel Schrank-, Stau- und Regalraum, wie man als Einzelreisender benötigt. Waterboiler und reichlich Tee- und Nescafe-Beutel ohne Aufpreis. Wenn man keinen Wecker dabei... was die leute sagen » hat, dann wird man 20 min. - Das Personal war sehr sehr nett und sehr hilfsbereit .Ich hab mich dort genauso wohl gefühlt wie Zuhause und kann nur eins sagen " besten Dank " für die schöne Zeit !

  I highly recommend Caravel Guest House. It’s located in the centre of the New Town close to the railway station and the shopping area. The rooms are cozy and the toilets are very clean. For the price you pbly won't find a more original B&B. It is nicely situated, though closer to New Town so that you have to walk a bit to get to Old Town. The breakfast is nice if you take the cooked breakfast. We'll stay there again if we go back to Edinburgh.
