  This hotel was clean, modern and excellent value for money. The staffwere very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Thefacilites in the wheelchair accessible room we booked were the best Ihave seen in any accommodation in the uk, with automatic doors intothe room, a wet room with a seat in the shower, wide doors and loweredhand basin... vad folk säger » s. - By far the best budget hotels we have used - fantastic value for money and just minutes away from the Channel tunnel. We were travelling to France early the next morning before the start of breakfast so we were given a takeaway breakfast for the journey! Holiday Inn will definitely be our preferred hotel choice for our next visit!

  Fabulous fabulous fabulous. A charmingly beautiful Georgian house situated in stunning surroundings and run by a genuinely warm and hospitable couple, partiularly Mary. Comfortable beds and quaint rooms overlooking fields and the English Channel. We couldn't have wished for a better place to stay. It was like going to stay with a friend . Mary Martin was welcoming & friendly but not overbearing so we felt completely relaxed. Views marvelous. Access via small winding country lanes - easy to get lost if you didn't have a good map. Didn't go into Folkestone - but it is useful for onward travel

  We received a very warm welcome and found Fern Lodge to have all the facilities we required. The location is ideal as a base for exploring the local area and the helpful advice from the proprietor led to some of the best fish and chips we have ever tasted. The cottage has been restored to provide 3 beautifully equipped en-suite rooms, quality furnishings, comfortable bed, comp. hot and cold drinks and a motorised reclining arm chair! Will definitely come again, and recommend it to others.
