  This hotel was clean, modern and excellent value for money. The staffwere very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them.   Fabulous fabulous fabulous. A charmingly beautiful Georgian house situated in stunning surroundings and run by a genuinely warm and hospitable couple, partiularly Mary. It was like going to stay with a friend . Mary Martin was welcoming & friendly but not overbearing so we felt completely relaxed. Views marvelous. Access via small winding country lanes - easy to get lost if you didn't have a good map. Didn't go into Folkestone - but it is useful for onward travel

  We received a very warm welcome and found Fern Lodge to have all the facilities we required. The location is ideal as a base for exploring the local area and the helpful advice from the proprietor led to some of the best fish and chips we have ever tasted. Will definitely come again, and recommend it to others.
