Vad folk säger
After a 2 night stay at The Wellington Arms I found the staff VERY friendly and nothing was too much bother. The hotel has a bar with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The hotel was clean, although slightly dated and the heating was too hot for our liking, this resulting in a restless night BUT I would certainly stay here again.
The way staff put themselves out to make our stay enjoyable.
I.e drove us to the wedding venue after taxi let us down, free of charge. We were a party of 12 and the next morning they set up a table with 12 place settings for us all. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone. alla recensioner »
Great location, plenty of parking, good for cycling in surrounding countryside and to Wellington's house. Price was fantastic and breakfast and dinner very good. Would definitely stay again.
We were visiting our son and his children who live nearby. We had a meal for all the family on Sunday. It was superb.
The food, the atmosphere and the staff were exceptional.
It had character, much better than the usual sterile Travel Inn.
Rooms were cosy and unique
Breakfast was also different from the norm.
Staff were helpful.
extremely pleasant & helpful staff, very pleasant surroundings & ideal location for our purpose without paying fleet/London prices.
Breakfast was excellent, staff were very friendly. Hot water was plentiful, and water pressure really good, making for a great shower.
The room was very clean and cosy. Very comfortable bed. Rainforest shower was fantastic! Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Food and service excellent. Full English breakfast was fabulous. Room very nice and quiet. Will stay again.
The comfort and welcome, the 4 poster bed was a surprise. The general ambiance and Breakfast was good to.
Very positive attitude from front desk staff upon arrival late. Great to have food delivered in room.
room was comfy, food was great, we liked the welcoming feel of the [lace and it's olde world charm :).
Very comfortable beds. Enough space in room and bathroom. Good breakfast. Good shower. Good parking.

Welcoming staff.
location, surroundings, design, facilities,.
Great Room for the price
Food was excellent.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Price, staff, food was good!.
Charactor.
Bar and Dining area pleasant and welcoming. Staff were attentive and courteous. Restaurant food was great. Although rooms are very tired, I was told that the accommodation is due to be renovated early in 2014. I think that once this is done, this establishment will be an ideal location for the business traveller.
I had a single room which was very well equipped and comfortable (apart from a squeaky bed!). Restaurant and communal areas had a lovely welcoming and cosy atmosphere. Food was very good.
The price. Good food and beer/wine then a room without having to drive. Attentive staff.
Quiet room.
location was good and easy to find, it is very close to the main road..
Easy to find despite being Rural. Nothing to pay until check-out.
room was well appointed.
Food, location, shower.
Food was very good.
old world charm.
Location.
Food.
What a fantastic little gem very friendly food was top notch and rooms were very tidy and comfy
Could have sat outside in the sun allday and be treated like a duke ....
Staff were helpful and freindly, breakfast was good and hotel was in the correct place for my business.
Food was lovely and staff seemed helpful.
Staff were good as was dinner.
Having to leave.
Liked everything!.
Rooms were not completely clean when we arrived and the bathroom needed work.
The only thing missing was a bedside light and having to get out of bed to switch off the main light.
Decor was a little tired.
Too many doors to open whilst carrying luggage in narrow hallways.
Nothing.
A bed side light would have helped for reading in bed
Turning right out of the hotel on to the main road in traffic is difficult.
Nothing - would stay here again.
The food is so good y just can't say no!.
Nothing much to dislike.
Not applicable.
Could have done with a mattress cover under the sheets to improve the comfort level!.
Nothing - would recommend this hotel, especially to those on business in Hook.
Breakfast service was a bit underwhelming.
The garden was beside a busy/main road but this did not effect sleep, just made sitting outside a bit noisy!.
Nothing.
The room that I had, had seen better days. It was very tired and outdated. Light above mirror didn't work. Sink was cracked. Shower head had a crack in the top, so a fine stream of water shot out at 90 deg' over the shower curtain and on to the bathroom floor. Chest of drawers had coffee cup rings on the top. Bed very creeky.
Had a totally sleepless night due to rowdy Uni students who all congregated in the bedroom next to mine up until 6am!! No answer on reception after calling numerous times from 3am. Did receive apology and no room charge the next day. But the experience spoilt my visit somewhat.
Could do with a repaint. Some of the decor is a little worn.
the cost of dinner was very expensive for the amount of food provided and staff were not trained how to take away plates when they brought you the next course, walked away leaving dirty plates on tables.
Our Room (9) was a little tired but at £75 for 2 including breakfast it was value for money.
not being told to keep the door card away from mobile phones. it meant a midnight phone call to the duty manager. they was no night porter to assist so I had to re-programme the door key myself.
Dated, needs deep cleaning.
The rooms and breakfast room were looking a bit 'Tired'. In need of refurbishment.
Radiator on continuously in the night in June.
Bathroom was dated.
Mould in Bathroom, wooden toilet seat. Large mirror in Bathroom loose in surround.
Smallest TV I siien in years.
Not having time to stay longer but deffo be back.
I had room 1 which was very large but very cold. The outside temperature was very cold, but single glazed windows and two small radiators in a room that size was not enough. The heating also went off overnight. Double glazing would help with heating and noise, the A33 is busy.
Water was yellow, we were told this wouldn't harm us and just to run it for a while . We probably wouldn't have stayed if we knew before hand.
My husband found a hair in his breakfast .
inability to negotiate a fair price for a bottle of vodka.
Really shabby walls.
