Very friendly welcoming staff. Old traditional building, now renovated internally to a high standard in contemporary style. Pleasant locals. Good prices for food and drink. Took all cards. Spacious, well furnished and decorated bedroom. Luxury en-suite bathroom. Everything very clean. Nice artwork on the walls. Food very good. Great staff - very welcoming. The stand in manager was extremely accommodating and even put us onto probably the best Indian restaurant (Rafus) 1 min walk away when we arrived later than expected. Superb selection of malts and no extortionate prices. Great stop and thanks.

Very busy with functions on the night we stayed, but staff still managed to appear unflustered and friendly. Very pretty small town, previously unknown to us. Stayed here for one night on a break to the Cotswolds. The Highworth is a lovely hotel-attentive and friendly staff, clean and comfortable room, nice breakfast. Extremely good value for money, especially since there was a large discount when booking!. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was spotlessly clean, lovely bathroom & room. Breakfast was delicious & plenty of it. We loved it (& I'm very fussy about cleanliness & comfort) & would definitely go back. The Villiage of Highworth is very charming and the Hotel has a excellant vantage point of being at the top of the villiage.The room and bathroom were very good, had a very nice Bar area and they did a excellant breakfast. I was very welcome with my dog (no additional charge). The room is large and well ordered. A parking is available. Michael is a very nice person for the clients. Very good full breakfast with high quality food. Thank you to all the staff who were amazing very accommodating. The stay was very relaxing, very good food, quirt rooms although you are on a main road. Had an amazing evening, will come back again!. Historic nature of classic British inn. Nothing. Nothing. Top bedroom I stopped in (think it was called the 'Top Highworth') had low beams and I cracked my head on one - like I said, a great whisky selection... Very narrow carriageway to carpark (to be expected in such an old building); a minor dislike. n/a- it was great!. Check in/out was a bit vague, no signage as to where to go or what to do. However, if you use your common sense as we did, you just go to the bar & they sort you out. Some reviews didn't like the car park entrance - in defence of the Highworth, there's nothing they can do about that. The buildings were built way before 4x4 cars were ever dreamt of!. Nothing. Very narrow archway leading to the parking area, barely wide enough for modern cars (admittedly built in the era of horses and buggies). Much of the original character of the interior of this inn has been lost by 20th century remodeling and updating. Very poor WiFi (almost nonexistent even in the public areas). Lost access to BBC channels for two of our three day stay. no information about the hotel or surounding area and a very tight entrance to rear carpark. The TV picture wasn't good. We could hear noise from the bar as our room was above and access to the car park was very narrow. None of this would put us of staying again though. Exit is into a cross road junction. I could not get the hotel wi-fi to work consistently anywhere except at one table in the Restaurent, which precluded FaceTime messaging. Also, very poor Orange mobile coverage. car park access very narrow and no hot water. Poor wifi. Access to the car park through very narrow gateway. Fold in your mirrors!. Unfortunately the restaurant was fully booked the night we stayed there. Make sure to book a table in advance. Front room was lovely, but noisy from traffic. Getting into the car park - rather narrow alleyway so you need to be aware of the width of your car - I managed getting in and out with scraping the wing mirrors though!. Strange that there was not a bell or notice to advise how to find a member of staff when we arrived. lack of staff. Overnight stay left us wandering around trying to find people to enable us to book in, initial book in to double - should have been twin, lack of communication was the most frustrating bit but then there really wasn't enough staff to cope with the work that evening. Sooooo disappointing. No milk in room. The entrance to the parking was very narrow. Ridiculous cost of the poor wine, near zero TV reception. stairs, very difficult with a lot of luggage. Noise from the road and from the hotel reastaurant till midnight. Not aware of our booking and had to wait too long for our invoices! Hotel manning very thin and not manned at night. The stairs to our rooms were barely accessible. Many small deficiencies (TV, WiFi, toilet paper). Road noise in front room. there was no price list in the bar and we found when ordering 2 oranges the priced varied from 1 day to another, also if you booked an evening meal the menu was not available until you where nearly ready to order. Reception for booking in was hidden away so you had to walk around the hotel with bags looking for It .breakfast may have been good but never experiansed it as waited half an hour for some to serve by witch Tim had to leave. The bar prices. I was overcharged by the hotel. Staff service was very disappointing. Very poor customer service.
