The Saff were excellent, location was good and a great breakfast and evening meal.. Beds were nice and clean and comfortable fresh towels. Room lovely and warm. The staff is pleasant, polite, the breakfast was delicious, confy bed, good location, free wi-fi. Food was absolutely gorgeous and the staff were excellent. They would have done anything for you. Price, convenient for Edinburgh, friendly staff, vibrant buzzing bar and dining area.

Lovely, friendly and helpful staff. Central location. Wonderful dinning experience, both food and atmosphere at dinner. Breakfast ok. Shower/toilet clean but a little maintenance required. I stayed with a female friend for 1 Saturday night. The best think about the Orchard are the friendly staff and the dinner experience. The bar seemed lively and the atmosphere welcoming and friendly. The staff were attentive and made you feel welcome. breakfast on first day was good but next day was poor. Lovely dinner , well presented by very friendly staff. The room needed updated ie painted and a bit more of a tidy + loose tile in the bathroom could be dangerous old soap left in shower soap dish and dust on rail and shelves to place your clothes. Lack of bath mat and the room wasn't noise proof, so I could hear everything that was happening on the street. Single beds. Would have liked a double bed. Is plenty of room in the room for a double. Single room was quite small and basic. Rooms could be better carpet needs replaced. Bar area a bit cramped. Cleaning staff leave every room door open & unattended most of the morning, just as well we are nosey and not theifs... or maybe Falkirk has zero crime !. Cleanliness issues in bedroom. Specifically: carpet badly stained, unpleasant odor from pillows ( I covered mine with my own personal towel). Dark bedding of poor quality. I was afraid to check the mattress. Room 6 at front very noisy I had very little sleep. Double glazing required. Had to unplug one of the bedside lamps to use use kettle. Thick dust behind bed table (had to pull this out to switch plugs). The bed linen was not clean, neither were the carpets. The room was very dark and the mirror was set so high on the wall you couldn't see into it without standing on the bed! There was nowhere to hang clothes and what was supposed to be our en-suite was in fact a shared bathroom with the laundry staff - far from ideal as we had to go from our bedroom onto the landing to get to it and it was a thorough fare for people/staff to get to the other side of the building!. to close to city centre,very noisy. Breakfast took over half a hour from ordering to serving , eggs were very greasy and over cooked , toast just put on plate in the beans no marmalade , only one cup of coffee offered , wives orange juice never arrived , my orange juice turned out to be diluting juice .
