  Was upgraded from executive double to executive suite on arrival which was a nice surprise. The decoration and facilities in the room were superb, one of the best rooms that I have ever stayed in. When booking the hotel I was expecting a very staid environement and was pleasantly suprised by the contemporary feel to the hotel. - Staff were exceptio... vad folk säger » nal.   Excellent location for visiting Exeter city centre, with lovely friendly staff. just 5 minutes walk from either Exeter St Davids or Exeter central. We just had an overnight getaway from work and routine - visiting the Quay, which was beautiful for food and long stroll, the underground passages of Exeter city, the RAM Museum, had a lovely walk arou... vad folk säger » nd the castle grounds and sat in the sun eating cream cakes outside the cathedral. - The room was comfortable and clean, and the en suite was very nice, the staff were friendly and the guest house in a good location for the city centre. We enjoyed a choice of breakfasts in the morning, overall a good stay, we would book again.

  Firstly, the location: ideal for the city centre and Exeter Central railway station (literally next door), bus station, the quay area (by the river - 7/8 min. walk) and Exeter St.Davids (15 min walk). In a side street, off the High Street, so quite quiet and noise wasn't a problem even at the weekends and being above a pub. Rooms have a different look - were modern, clean, elegant and spacious (incl. bathrooms), comfy bed, tea/cof - Excellent staff, friendly helpful arrival, even though we arrived late in the evening as we had advised, and that approach continued next day morning. Rooms were fine, and bathroom facilities good especially bearing in mind usual British plumbing standards. Location very close to high street shopping and easy to get to main rail station although a hit far with suitcases, but okay with a backpack. Easy taxi ride. Good pub atmosphere on ground floor

  Neat rooms, very spacious and had that fresh happy feeling. Clean and welcoming - lots of different teas and coffees and a luxury to choose upon arrival or before next morning's breakfast! Staff were very helpful and polite as well as eager to go out of their own way to make your stay more comfortable to easy. It is close to the station and the shops and is in a safe residential area. Breakfast was delicious and perfectly prepared. I really couldn't recommend this hotel more highly.

  Just about everything! Very nice well appointed room. High standard of cleanliness throughout with great attention to detail. Coffee/tea/hot chocolate , bottled water and fruit juice included. Breakfast was excellent and served in a spacious conservatory overlooking garden. Lovely fresh fruit salad, good choice of cereals, juices and good cooked... vad folk säger » ingredients. Proprietor, Tina, was friendly and efficient. Situated a few miles outside Exeter a short walk to lovely village pub serving good food. - This is a top place. It has all the little extras that you could hope for including luxurious bathrobe and chocolates. Room was spacious and garden was lovely. Very friendly and welcoming. Convenient bus into Exeter. Half Moon pub in local town excellent food and amazing value. Best kept secret and thank you to our patron for recommending it. Lovely walking area with great paths. Would definitely go back if we had the chance. Sorry to leave.
