  The owner was so friendly and really made you feel at home. Breakfast was lovely, more than I could eat, and when we needed to be up and out early on Sunday, he was happy to bring breakfast forward for us. Best of all, I was never cold - radiator was more than up to the job of heating the room. Definitely stay there if I g - Rooms and public area renovated or kept in excellent shape with new furnishings; beautifully decorated. Host Bill friendly and helpful. Good Wifi. Instant coffee powder and milk generously supplied and replenished. In easy reach of centre, with necessities shopping, pubs and eateries nearby. Sufficient public parking space, bus stop a few meters away. Not exactly cheap in overall terms, but good value for Edinburgh (sigh).

  The Dene Guest House was the perfect choice. Not only I was provided with a clean, spacious and beautifully designed en-suite bedroom with great views but I had as well the valuable help of Ilio and Hamish in every possible aspect (from giving advice on how to spend leisure time to pointing me in the right direction whilst I was looking for a job ... vad folk säger » in the city). The owners are extremely friendly yet never intrusive or insistent. I am already planning to go back soon! - Perfect location, close to centre of town. Received a very warm welcome, lovely people running the bed and breakfast in a relaxed, efficient way, they couldn`t have been more helpful. My room was clean, comfortable and had all I needed, the house itself is a beautiful old Edinburgh town house. Fantastic breakfast and I look forward to staying again for my next great night out in the big Toun!

  The most outstanding feature of Garfield Guest House is the staff, all of whom are friendly, flexible, and helpful. A close second is the delicious and generous breakfast, with locally sourced sausages and salmon, several menu choices each morning including vegan and vegetarian options. Buses to Old Town, New Town, and Leith stop within a few step... vad folk säger » s of Garfield, and those places are all relatively walkable as well -- within about 2 miles. Within half a mile, there are a few takeaway restaurants, - Martin and Michelle were absolutely amazing! Really easy going and friendly. They went above and beyond to help us with our trip and to make sure we were comfortable with our stay. The breakfasts were great and they even made other guest's meals that weren't even on the menu!! They both work really hard and long hours and always have a smile on their faces. They made the start of our trip to Edinburgh.

  I really enjoyed my stay at the Seahaven hotel. Staff was a great example of Scottish hospitality. Breakfast was cooked individually, room was very clean, with en-suite toilet and a shower. Design of the room was very efficient, I had everything I needed. And, again, very clean and welcoming. My window had a direct view on the beach and water and ... vad folk säger » the hotel was placed 1 minute walk away from it. There was a direct 24h bus to the centre (26) and the area was very safe. Downstairs there was a trad - it was lovely, very freindly, and home from home, we had a lovely time, and will be back again and again, fantastic location, and walks on the beach, loved it at this time off the year, the hotel was lovely and the staff were very friendly and helpfull, thankyou to the staff at the hotel for making our weekend fantastic,
