  Firstly I would like to say that the people who run the place were very friendly and helpful and the most hospitable people I have met in my experience of staying in a wide variety of hotels. The place was spotless and extremely fresh with an expert touch on the decor. The breakfast in my opinion was cooked to perfection. The way it was decorated was lovely and modern. Made us want to come back to the accomodation abit earlier to chill out. We stayed at the st ives harbour hotel and spa two days previous and just added on Downsfield to the end of our stay, but i would definatly return to Downsfield eveb though its further to get to town it was a much more nicer and homely place to return too. The price was reasonable too, making us want to return as a wh

  The staff were all very amenable. The seting was fantastic - I had been up-graded to a sea view room which was perfect. The service in the bar was good and the meal that we had was very good. The Hotel was well located with fantastic sea views from the room allocated, considering the discounted rate we paid via the website deal.

  Atmosphere great. Room high standard with the most comfy bed and gorgeous bedding. We stayed in bedroom 3 which has a big bay window and a balcony. We really can't describe how great our room was! The breakfasts were amazing, using locally sourced products. Unobtrusive, efficient staff in this family run hotel. If only! - Fantastic location, really friendly staff. Room was lovely and the decoration was modern, crisp and clean. The breakfast was amazing. There was a huge firework display while we stayed and we sat out the front with big mugs of coffee and had the most fantastic view. Checking out the manager said we could leave our car for as long as we liked and enjoyed our last day. A wonderful place to stay in a beautiful location

  The hotel has a fine location on a height on the outskirts of St. Ives, reached by a very narrow driveway. Our room had a spectacular view over the coast and town. It was nicely appointed, clean and comfortable. The hotel personnel were friendly and helpful. The restaurant presented good meals at a modest price; the breakfast was fresh and offere... vad folk säger » d a large choice. The location of the hotel makes it a good base for walking along the North Cornish coastal path. We would certainly return to the Ga - Everything. It has a lovely relaxed, friendly atmosphere. I would describe our stay there as a five star experience from a three star hotel. Whilst it may not be the cheapest place to stay, you gets what you pay for and with this hotel you get a lot. St Ives is a magical place to stay and this hotel just is the icing on the cake.
