Firstly I would like to say that the people who run the place were very friendly and helpful and the most hospitable people I have met in my experience of staying in a wide variety of hotels.
The place was spotless and extremely fresh with an expert touch on the decor.
The breakfast in my opinion was cooked to perfection.

The cleanliness and look of the B & B was exceptional. The way it was decorated was lovely and modern. Made us want to come back to the accomodation abit earlier to chill out. We stayed at the st ives harbour hotel and spa two days previous and just added on Downsfield to the end of our stay, but i would definatly return to Downsfield eveb though its further to get to town it was a much more nicer and homely place to return too. The price was reasonable too, making us want to return as a wh

Our room was very clean and whilst not too large it suited us well enough. Lovely bathroom and shower. There was a wide selection of food for breakfast: yoghurt, fresh fruit, preserves, cereals, toast and cooked. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. We would certainly return. -

Fantastic location, really friendly staff. Room was lovely and the decoration was modern, crisp and clean. The breakfast was amazing. There was a huge firework display while we stayed and we sat out the front with big mugs of coffee and had the most fantastic view. Checking out the manager said we could leave our car for as long as we liked and enjoyed our last day. A wonderful place to stay in a beautiful location

Everything. It has a lovely relaxed, friendly atmosphere. I would describe our stay there as a five star experience from a three star hotel. Whilst it may not be the cheapest place to stay, you gets what you pay for and with this hotel you get a lot. St Ives is a magical place to stay and this hotel just is the icing on the cake.
