  Extremely personal service - welcome with tea/coffee and home made cake (free throughout the stay whenever needed). Good information and reviews about where to eat, also walks/maps for exploring. Breakfast was locally sourced as far as possible and fairtrade if not, plus in the 'snug' local beverages available.   The initial reception was excellent and friendly. The staff were very attentive and polite and the cleanliness of the hotel was beyond reproach. It has been the best experience of staying in a UK hotel and would recommend it. They should be congratulated on such a lovely service provided.   We stayed over the Easter long weekend and had a wonderful time. The room was warm and cosy and the bed was extremely comfortable. Tracy was very welcoming and extended us wonderful hospitality, she also prepared a fantastic breakfast every morning - her homemade bread is great! The location of the The Blacksmith’s House is fantasti - Very friendly - an absolute home from home where you really are encouraged to get your feet under the table and kick back.fabulous home baking - scones and Jams left every day for you until they are finished. Home made bread and pancakes for breakfast, also home cooked ham, fresh eggs from their own hens - Tracy even messaged me to make sure I'd arrived safely and let me know she had left home-made bread out for my arrival incase I was hungry.   The hotel was in a very secluded location, we found the stay very relaxing and the staff could not do enough for you. The room was excellent, clean, and the attention to detail was outstanding. Recommended for a quiet break - The hotel and surroundings were just amazing, relaxing. The leisure facilities, though small, were perfect as we had the place to ourselves.
