After unloading the car, we were greeted with warm smiles from two of the friendliest hoteliers I've had the pleasure to meet in a long time. This of course got my stay off to great start, particularly after a long journey.
After being shown to our room, I was suitably impressed with the standard of decoration, which whilst not modern or trendy was nevertheless well-maintained and nigh on immaculate. As for cleanliness, this too could not be faulted.

On arrival, me and my 2 small children were greeted by very friendly and welcoming hosts. We were shown to a beautiful room and immediately decided to stay for an extra night (we were booked in for 2 nights, but made it 3). We slept comfortably and quietly. Breakfast was of the highest standard and was delicious....Even tempting my fussy toddler! Our hosts were wonderful. Sylvia could not do enough for us. Whilst being un-intrusive, she was on hand if we needed anything at all and was helpful w.
Lovely guest house, the owner was very friendly and welcoming.
The Golden Sands is situated in a nice location in the North Shore area of Blackpool, just a couple of minutes from the tram stop at Gynn Square, with frequent services into Blackpool and Cleveleys taking only a few minutes
The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated, with a mini fridge and hair dryer.
The highlight was undoubtedly the breakfast which was delicious.
I would highly recommend The Golden Sands to anyone looking .
The hotel was very nice from the outside, clean and well maintained, welcoming. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The interior was clean, bright, modern and maintained to a very high standard. My single room had everything I needed and again it was very clean,modern and very cosy. The full English breakfast was excellent. I am so impressed I will choose it again for my next stay and will tell everyone I know.
I loved the furnishings, gentle ways of the hoteliers, their kindness, attention to detail and fine catering. Mine was a wonderful cozy room with comfortable bed, en suite shower/toilet, lovely mirrors! in quiet house/location close to promenade. Extra treats like electric kettle and tea/coffe and wine made it welcoming and relaxing, perfect for a weekend away from home.
Have stayed in numerous hotels and B&Bs in Blackpool (well over a
dozen) some 3 or 4 times but until now can honestly say have never
stayed in one that ticks all the boxes ! The whole place from location
to cleanliness to smart decor to friendly staff to an excellent
breakfast cooked up by Sylvia was just Superb ! Thankyou so much, would
love to come and stay again.
A very clean comfortable warm guest house with an excellant breakfast that set you up for the day.Close to the seafront yet quiet which meant you had a good nights sleep in nice comfy beds.Sylvia the owner was very nice and made you feel very welcome. Will definately be visiting Golden Sands again.
From the moment we arrived, we felt comfortable. The place was spotless
and well equipped with full size fridge and mini bottle of wine. The
breakfast was delicious, nothing was too much trouble, our 2 yr old is
still asking where the nice lady is at breakfast time.
Friendly and welcoming host who was also unobtrusive. Clean and well
presented accommodation. Plentiful cooked breakfast that was well
presented and not at all greasy. Good value for money and in a quiet
location. Doesn't allow hen or stag parties.
Overall, the Golden Sands was very clean and the breakfasts were excellent. The room felt clostrophobic with a double and a single bed in it, but it was a bonus because it was so hot, my wife and I were able to sleep in different beds!.
I arrived early and was aloud to leave my bag while I did some work around town.
This is one of the better B&B's in Blackpool there are a lot of run down B&B's so lucky to find this one.
Excellent value for money, clean, well decorated, staff very helpful and friendly. Very good breakfast that was all made as ordered. Beds very comfortable (although double a bit squeaky).
We had a lovely stay at the golden sands the hotel is nice an clean. The breakfast was lovely. It is a good walk into the town though but you can easily jump on the tram or bus.

The Guest house was spotlessly clean. Everything was top class. The rooms were the quietest I have stayed in Blackpool.

The only negative is that parking can be an issue. However, I'm sure this is true for the vast majority of guest houses in Blackpool. In actual fact, as the Golden Sands is situated in a nicer part of town slightly further (but not too far away) from the main attractions, I suspect parking may be easier to come by up here.
There is nothing we did not like.
I like a soft fairly slim pillow. However, those in my room [No 4] were were a bit too fat/firm. I selected the thinner of the two which unfortunately nevertheless had pricky feathers. The other problem for me was that the TV, though apparently newly installed, was incapable of receiving a signal. This problem was reported was not not capable of rectification apparently because it was a weekend.

Everything was good nothing to dislike.
The only negative is it is a long way from everything, but it was quiet
and thats quite a feat in blackpool. We managed hopping on and off the
buses and the trams, altho the trams r not as regular as they used to
be. The day saver @ £4.50 each lets u use both until the last service.
So altho it is far out it suited us as we value quiet nights.
Bbc channels not working...although that was no big deal as I wasn't
there to watch tv. No soap or shower gel (hand soap and shampoo is
provided) but that may be normal for a b&B.
Sadly for Blackpool the biggest problem is parking - its a lottery.
The first night I had to use a public car park at a cost of 7.50.

WIFi was slow, but then so is most places we stayed at. Such accommodation should consider its speed and what can be done to improve. Blackpool itself is not up to much really, i guess once visited there is no need to go back.
