  Excellent value for money. (An added bonus was its location alongside the grammar school I attended 1943-48 which I hadn't seen since then!) - We were attending a local wedding and all the staff were very helpful providing directions and information regarding the venue.

  Very friendly and helpful staff overall. Iron/ironing board in room! Hair drier and safe in room. Can adjust room temperature yourself. Good room service - nice food and not too pricey. Pleasant dining room and lounge areas. We enjoyed our stay (self and elderly mother). Adjusted our booking to take account of our altered needs. Postponed a bookin... vad folk säger » g that they were within their right to cancel so that we would not lose our money - excellent service! - We stayed two nights for a family funeral and hills a buffet reception for family and friends. The food was good. We dined in the hotel restaurant both nights and were very impressed. All staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is modern and very spacious. It made it a little easier to cope with such a sad occasion.

  A very welcoming hotel. Extremely friendly and helpful staff ( every member) Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Room very clean, good facilities, fantastic standard of food and service in restaurant was fabulous. Nothing too much trouble. Very good value for money. - I always read reviews before booking, and I had a most enjoyable stay at a really friendly and quirky hotel, where the staff I met and dealt with were helpful, and very eager too please. I found it strange that previous reviews complained about there being no lift, and that their rooms were some way from reception - well it states that on the information page on this really interesting hotel.
