Excellent value for money. (An added bonus was its location alongside the grammar school I attended 1943-48 which I hadn't seen since then!) - We were attending a local wedding and all the staff were very helpful providing directions and information regarding the venue.

My husband loves the pillows, I liked the idea of the single bed next to the double bed and my son loved everything. I found the staff both pleasant and helpful. The room was neat and very inviting. Good sized room, clean and comfortable. Bar food meal we had was really delicious and on an offer of 2 mains for £10. This was the cheapest and tastiest meal in our 10 day tour (and we had had some really great meals). Bath and toiletries good.. -
The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was a good size and the gym was well equipped.

I found it strange that previous reviews complained about there being no lift, and that their rooms were some way from reception - well it states that on the information page on this really interesting hotel.

This was the second time we have stayed here in the past 4 months. IIt is a comfortable hotel with a great location. It is very clean and suited our needs for another weekend away.
