  The history: Agatha Christie wrote her [Murder on the Orient Express] at this hotel. There is a small exhibition area on the fourth floor about this and other historic moments. The elevator from 1895 can still run (though not always in use). They sell postcards and other souvenirs about the hotel at the front desk. Really a piece of history! The c... vad folk säger » oncierge Evren is superb, recommending us of fantastic restaurants (usually nearby, as the location is great) and tours and activities. The Breakfast - A classic hotel, which I've used twice before, in 1995 & 2005, before its recent refurbishment. It's now three times the price, but the grandeur is no longer faded, it's now a true 5-star place. And I'm delighted to say that the refurb hasn't spoilt its character at all, as this is a hotel with more character and history than most! Staff were great, we got a room upgrade, and an extra hour extended checkout wasn't a problem. If we return to Istanbul, it'll be the Pera Palas for us!

  The room was excellent, spacious, clean and very comforting. Staff were friendly and most of all the receptionist Sertac who was extremely friendly and helpful and would go the extra mile to help the guests, I believe all receptionists should be like him. the gardens, sports courts, playgrounds, swimming pools, all were great. My family and I really enjoyed the four days we spent in this resort and I strongly recommend it to whomever is - It was Unforgettable stay in that beautiful village "Sapanca", the nature the weather the food every thing was wonderfull, the staff were so friendly and special thanks to Mr. Maarouf for his cooperation and hospitality.
