  Everything was just great. Generally we like hiking and do not spend much time on the accomodation. Here, first time, it was different. We could read stories in a very comfortable living room in the evenings, we could let our kids (5 and 2 years) wander around the house and in the garden, it was absolutely safe. Graechen is not a usual destination for Brits but we found everyone very poite,welcoming and speaking better english than our German by a mile.   Great Hotel with stunning views. View of the Matterhorn from our room and the breakfast area. We were there in the summer and had walks through beautiful flowering meadows and amazing mountain scenery. Saw 2 Golden Eagles! Easy access to mountain railway and cable cars going above the snow line and views of all the high mountains. Nice r - The hotel has a very cosy atmosphere. the dining hall leading to the guest sitting area is very tastefully decorated. Rosemary, the owner was very accommodative, friendly and helpful. I wish I could have more time to converse with her. Room was clean and the view of Matterhorn was fabulous. The spa was a surprise, after a day's walking, to have a sauna was indeed the highlight of the day.
