  Staff were friendly and helpful without being in anyway superior. The atmosphere was relaxed with a personal touch, I felt as if I was a VIP without the anonimity of many corporate hotels. Food was good and they did well to provide vegetarian alternatives for me, breakfsts were amazing! - Free and working(!)   It was excellent experience -- the staff was very friendly and helpful and they were trying hard to make our stay there enjoyable. The rooms were nice and clean, and a bit old-fashioned decoration (a style is a bit 70ies-80ies) did not mitigate the experience.   This Hotel is a lovely old hotel in a beautiful setting on the Avenue of Flowers. As i was quite ill, I needed a doctor and one was provided for me in very short time. I was very impressed with the attention I received, and although I mostly saw only the inside of the room, and the dining room, due to my illness, I loved my stay at the Grand Hotel ... vad folk säger » Excelsior.   I actually stayed in Royal Plaza which I think is connected to Villa Toscane. Rooms were excellent and spa facilities excellent. - usage of the pool and welness facilities in the montreux palace across the road for free.
