  The hotel is a beautiful, comfortable hotel and the staff very friendly. The location is superb, a short walk into the old town and great restaurants. Good shopping all around the hotel. The breakfast was very nice. We had a deluxe apartment which could easily hold a family in great comfort with two bedrooms, kitchen and sizable living room ar... vad folk säger » ea. It's an easy place to use as a base camp for day trips to the coast or other areas in the Costa Brava. We were directed to close by free parking - Actually didn't stay at the hotel due to technical problems but was booked in to a hotel round the corner (and had a junior suite!). Came back to Nord 1901 to use the pool and was offered a free drink. Staff at Nord 1901 are excellent, very friendly and willing to do anything to make your stay a pleasant one. The hotel is also very close to the town centre (by foot) where there are some very good restaurants (I'd recommend Mimolet which has excellent 30 euro menu)

  All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful, in particular Maja, who helped us when we needed to visit the local hospital. The room was lovely and the bed was huge! Everything we wanted to see in the old town was within walking distance. We had a very relaxing time walking around the narrow streets amongst the beautiful old build... vad folk säger » ings of Girona. There were plenty of different restaurants to eat in and we had some great food during our visit there. We really enjoyed our holiday - Everything! Location was unbeatable and contrary to many old town centres, the taxi could take us right to the door. The staff was helpful, all receptionists were like Concierges: they recommended sites, restaurants. The room had all the latest amenities and comforts but the bonus was beautiful decor in and out of room and wonderful smell everywhere. Will go back!

  Ibis Budget was extremely great! Close to city center, 10 minutes of walking distance. Helpful staff, especially Xavi! Really cheap and highly recommended! - Perfect place to stay in Girona. Not far from the center, nice minimalistic design, clean room, included everything we needed and cheap. Highly recommend!

Location: Perfect everything within easy walking distance and right in centre of the old town - do not stay in the new town as all the sights are here you will end up doing a lot of extra walking if you don't. Only 15mins walking from the coach/train station. Washing machine handy for longer stays as was the tiny kitchen. Overall impression is great value for money. Want something better then perhaps be you should be prepared to pay extra.

  The location is fantastic and the flat was nice, big and clean. We had to wait a bit as we arrived earlier, but in general we had a lovely stay! - Good location. Clean and very spacious. Near shops and supermarkets.

  Good design, comfort beds, Internet, big size, balconies or big terrace if the apartment on the first flour, parking in front and behind the hotel, washing machine, good bathroom. The stuff quickly answer the questions - Very Clean and tidy, not too far to walk into town, 20 minutes approx, car parking was not a problem.   Fantastic location and a great room. Even though we had a shared bathroom it was very clean and no queuing required. We had to leave at 4am so didn't make breakfast but the owner put a basket of fruit and muffins in our room which was really generous.   The hotel is situated just across the river from the old town, and close to monuments, cultural facilities and shops. The hotel is very comfortable, the staff welcoming and helpful, and the breakfast superb. The free mini-bar was a godsend as we arrived very late in the evening. We had an excellent lunch in the Blanc restaurant - and regretted hav... vad folk säger » ing gone into the old town to eat the previous night - The staff were very helpful and friendly. We were waiting for a package to be delivered and the hotel staff couldn't do enough to make sure it arrived safely even offered to call the delivery company, without us even asking them for help. We were very impressed with them. The restaurant attached was very nice and really reasonably priced, we ate there both nights of our stay.
