We cannot fault this little gem in the heart of the Spanish capital. I
defy you to find better-located accommodation anywhere else in Madrid! A
5-min.walk from Plaza Cibeles (2nd stop on the Airport Transfer), 5 min
from metro stops Sevilla and Antoni Martin. Surrounded by great tapas
bars, cosy restaurants, breakfast bars and a corner shop directly
opposite. Plaza Santa Ana is around the corner and major attractions
like Parque Buen Retiro, El Prado or La Reine Sofia are all within 5-10
min st

First of all, the location of the hostel is great, being located in the heart of Madrid, a few minutes away from Gran Via and all the cultural places. Also it is really easy to arrive from the airport.

The location of Hostal Gala is excellent, a 5 minute walk from Gran Via and Puerto Del Sol. The staff are super welcoming and friendly, always ready to help and advise on where to go and what to do. The hostal is also kept very clean and the cleaning staff are very friendly and helpful as well. Although the rooms do not have safe deposit boxes, security and leaving passports/money behind was never a cause for concern. This is a place I would recommend and stay at again!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had to leave very early in the morning and they booked a taxi for us and made sure it was on time. We greatly appreciated that since we don't speak any Spanish. - the apartment was well equipt

I just stayed for one night. Has a very central location and the room is correct. We stayed in a family room whit four beds and a bathroom. Next time in Madrid, i will come back! -

Staff, location, taxi service. Rooms are nothing special, but I cannot note any grave shortcomings as well. The restaurant of the same name is a must-visit place. We have been to Alcala de Henares for three times, and it was our second stay in the Hostal Miguel De Cervantes. The best choice in the center of the city. -

Great location, just two blocks away from "Puerta del sol" and
"Plaza mayor". Clean rooms and bathroom at a great price.
Public parking is just 1/2 a block away. It's a great base
location to walk around Madrid. Senora Remedios and Mr Vicente are the
very friendly couple that runs the place. I recommend it hands down. -

Location was great - in the historic city centre, you can enjoy a walk to many places of interest. Opera metro station is just 1 minute from hostel. 24 hours supermarket is almost next door. My window was on pedestrian street Arenal, where people are walking all night long, but it wasn't noisy, I easily fell asleep (with closed window). Very safe district of Madrid. Very good located. Near of public transportation (Callao metro station). Near to the moust important sightseeings. On the oposit side is a supermarket on the underground level from a shopping mall (you can find here glutenfree products too) and nearby a lot of little restaurants. I liked that this hostel is located straight in the very heart of
Madrid, it is not very expensive, the scinery out of the window is very
beautifull on the buildings of the city, personally I like it. The
rooms are cleaned every day, the stuff is very friendly .There is a
central heating and it was warm in february. You can buy water inside.

The hotel is situated in the centre of Madrid, so for who’s interested
to spend some days in the city the hotel is perfect. The staff is
extremely polite and helpful, so I was there with my 6 months old
daughter and during day and night they helped me when I needed to heat
milk, etc…
