  Nice clean apartnent very wasy to fibd and we located for delights of Calle Laurel and other tapas bars. Alex met us pronptly and gave loads of useful information re bars etc. Great of a tapas filled weekend break loved it - Alex was a wonderful host, welcomed us sincerely, gave us great tips.   It would be difficult to find a more charming place to stay in the heart of the Rioja wine country. A wonderful atmosphere in a building dating from the 1700's, beautifully decorated and filled with lovely furniture. I First class all round ! - Beautiful building, well decorated with fantastic beds and quality bedding. Best night's sleep so far in Spain! Great location for all attractions and Bodegas. Not a pretty town, but ideally located for the heart of La Rioja region. Fantastic owners who were very knowledgable and generous with their time. I have put this little hotel into my sat- nav memory!

  great staff, very attentive and interested in their clients. Fantastic conversion of a very old country house, great design and very minimalist rooms and breakout/chillout areas. Loads of secure parking and free wifi in the hotel, very comfortable and a lovely fresh breakfast. Nothing seemed to be an issue for all of the staff we were fortunate to... vad folk säger » meet. Highly recommended. - This hotel is very handy for Santander! It has been tastefully renovated in a modern style. The facilities in the hotel are excellent. There is a good restaurant next door which unfortunately is only open on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. We like the fact that it is pet friendly, which is unusual in a hotel of this quality.

  A very interesting place - we had a really good giuded tour of the Monastery - the guide kept apologising for her English but it was charming and we understood it very well the meals were excellent in the hotel and the restaurant acrooss the car park - The setting, the tranquility and the general level of service

  Lovely location right next to the Catheral in the old town. Hotel was a typical parador - a beautiful old building lovely turned into a hotel. We ate in the restaurant and it was excellent - I highly recommend the foie gras and the duck! - It was the first stop on our Pyrenees car tour.   We loved everything about our stay here. The hotel room, the living areas we were welcome to lounge in, the dining room, all were 100% comfort and charm. The town was tiny, ancient and fascinating. It was central to the vineyards, wineries, beautiful countryside drives and within a few feet of the hotel was the river Ebro and a wonderful river wal... vad folk säger » king trail. Best of all were the lovely ladies who greeted us, cooked, helped us with directions and suggested places to visit. We could have stayed l - Brinas is a very pretty historic village in Rioja and I would not hesitate to recommend this lovely hotel, decorated with murals and antique funiture, to anyone looking for somewhere unique to stay. (once a Palace the property was used as Headquarter of the Italian Troops during the Spanish Civil War.) The staff are very helpful (coming out to our car with an umbella as we arrived during an unbelievable summer storm!!) This was our second visit to this hotel and we were not disappointed.
