  This hotel was a delight. It is situated about 50m from a lovely beach and our room and balcony overlooked the sea. The Alen do mar is in a quiet, secluded spot but is in easy reach of the town of Fisterra, with its many restaurants. The breakfast was full and delicious and the service was wonderful. The people running t - Hotel was really nice in a great location right next to beach in the woods a short drive from Fisterra. It had a really new feel as did the room which features a large balcony. Breakfast was served in stages unlike the usual Buffet style and was presented well. Staff were very friendly.

  The owner Alberto could not have been kinder - he went out of his way to 1. meet us and guide us to the hotel when we could not find it, tell us of local scenic drives and walks, recommend local tapas bars, etc. His son is a superlative gourmet chef - introducing guests to the freshest local seafood imaginatively prepared. The room was perfect - really comfortable bed, and a sofa and tables at one end of the room, also a large en-suite. The location was beautiful, and utterly quiet - apart from birdsong! We definitely want to return one day...

  We had just finished the Camino de Santiago and wanted some luxury which we got here in bucketloads! Staff treated you like family, free aperitifs at night - organic from the garden Delicious! We took the bikes up to the lighthouse and had a great ride. We spent the afternoon treating ourselves, first the shower is something to behold! Fabulous location overlooking sandy beach with wonderful sunsets. Hosts that offer excellent service, for instance, I mentioned an allergy when booking and received an email back from the owners immediately assuring me they would accommodate my dietary needs. A kitchen where we were welcomed to help ourself to drinks and home made cake. Nothing was too much trouble.

  It is an extraorindarily beautiful property with attention to detail inside and out. The room was delightful and comfortable with wonderful beds. The owner gave us a guided tour to explain the history of the property and the rennovation process -- fascinating. The bistro had delicious fare and a lovely ambience. It was simpl - Great attention to detail, whithout being stuffy our pretentious. One felt at home and confortable. Newspapers are available in the reception area and books in the lounge, and drinks are available in the mini bar of the room free of charge. We had dinner one night at the hotel and enjoyed it greatly. We overheard quite a few clients mentioning that they had been there before and were planning to return.

  The hotel was well designed. the rooms comfortable. We paid to upgrade from a demi loft suite to the much more costly gold suite which was a fun experience. Staff very helpful and warm natured.
