  Hotel Atrio was a wonderful, welcoming experience in the beautiful city of Caceres. It was our first night in Spain, and the hotel was the perfect place to relax after our long flight from the us. Everyone on the staff was so gracious and helpful, and made us feel at home. We will recommend this lovely hotel to all of our friends and f - Everything from reception to food, rooms, people, location, restaurant & wine cellar; Valet parking; We were there with kids & although it has a 2 start Michelin & is such establishments are usually not kid friendly - the owners and staff welcomed us with open arms and was 100% accommodating. What an experience! Cannot give any negative comment - everything was perfect;

  The interior belies the exterior of this building. Do not be put off by the apparently nondescript entrance. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The wifi a bit weak in the room but good down in the lounge area. It is a nice quiet situation but be prepared for a 30 minute drive for the visit to Caceres.

  We had a spacious, comfortable, very clean room in a quiet location in the village which is in easy access to the motor way. The landlords Jose and Susi are some of the nicest people I have met and went out of their way to make our stay most welcoming. We enjoyed breakfast and will.   Palacio Chaves is not excactly a hotel, it is a medieval palace where you are a guest rather than a client or customer. You may enjoy an extensive library with old books and magazines, launge with convenient armchairs and good paintings (old and modern) or a garden with stunning view over the roofs of old Trujillo. We can't imagine a better place to experience the atmosphere of this old spanish town. - Great inside and out, book-lined walls everywhere, comfortable couches, high, beamed ceilings, the whole place is full of character and peaceful, day & night. In Room 5, from one window we could see mountains in the far distance and from another window, lovely garden views and ancient buildings. A very comfortable, spacious and private sitting room adjoined our bedroom. Great location, right in the heart of the old town, a few minutes walk from the Plaza Mayor.
